Jake Schwartz has has a great run this year so far, with five final table runs, including a runner-up finish to Phil Helmuth's 16th bracelet. However, his Main Event run has now come to an end. Schwartz took to Twitter to announce the bust, and apparently busting the Main makes you hungry, as his first response was to order "72 inches of sandwiches".

Former WSOP Europe Main Event Champion Mateos Seated in Day 1a

It's been over eight years since a fresh-faced 19-year-old in the shape of Adrian Mateos took down the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event at Casino Barriere in Enghien-les-Bains, France.

Mateos took home €1,000,000 (~$1,155,000) for his win, defeating France's Fabrice Soulier heads-up.

The Spaniard is in the field today on Day 1a, tweeting that he's been looking forward to the Main Event for two years! "Let's go for it," he said.
