50 Français passent le Jour 1F... Phil Hellmuth en mode Gandalf

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

A few tables away, Amadeusz Roślik faced a bet of 6,500 on the river {9-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and he raised it to 26,500. His opponent snap-called and Roślik revealed {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for a full house to win the pot.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Kiriopoulos led out for 11,300 into a pot of around 12,000. His opponent called and the {4-Spades} paired the board on the turn. Zoughari Cracks Nitsche's Aces and Knocks Him Out

Niveau 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Moundir Zoughari
Moundir Zoughari

According to the table, a player opened to 1,200 and Moundir Zoughari three-bet to 4,200 in late position. Dominik Nitsche four-bet to 13,000 in the blinds and Zoughari decided to make the call after the initial player got out of the way.

The flop brought {10-}{7-}{2-} rainbow and both players checked to see a {8-} on the turn. Nitsche check-called a bet from Zoughari for 15,000.

The river fell a {8-} and after a last check from Nitsche, Zoughari fired 30,000 in the middle, putting Nitsche at risk for his remaining stack. The latter ended up calling off with {a-}{a-} only to see {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} in Zoughari's hand for a full house.

Nitsche, a four-time WSOP champion, busted from the tournament while Zoughari, a famous French TV host and multiple-time Survivor contestant, has now a stack over 130,000 chips.

Kempe Can't Fade the River, Goes Busto to Ta

Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Rainer Kempe bet 5,000 on the flop {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and was met with a raise to 12,500 by Vinny Ta. Kempe called and they saw the {10-Clubs} turn.

"Do you have any green chips behind?" asked Ta.

Ta then tossed out a 25,000 chip and Kempe called, putting his stack at risk.

Rainer Kempe: {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Vinny Ta: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Kempe held the nuts with a ten-high straight, while Ta had a set of kings.

"Pair the board," cried Ta.

The board indeed paired as a ten smacked on the river to give Ta a full house prompting him to slam his fist on the table.

"Yes," yelled Ta!

Kempe wished everyone luck and shook Ta's hand on his way out.

Barry Greenstein

A player in the hijack raised to 1,000 and action folded to Barry Greenstein, who three-bet to 3,200 on the button. Action went back around to the hijack who four-bet to 8,600, which was followed by Greenstein five-betting to 26,000. The hijack thought about it for some time before calling for his entire stack and the cards were tabled.

Hijack: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Barry Greenstein: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop of {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} brought the hijack additional outs in the form of a gutshot, but the {4-Clubs} turn and {2-Diamonds} river bricked to give Greenstein the elimination.
