Kiriopoulos Shows Strength in Four-Way Pot

Niveau 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Four players were contesting a pot as the board read {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}. From the cutoff, Demosthenes Kiriopoulos bet 950,000, George Holmes was on the button and took his time before folding. Zachary Mcdiarmid was next to act from the big blind and he took even longer before he pitched his cards as well. Stephen Gerber quickly called from under the gun.

The river came the {4-Diamonds}. Gerber checked. Kiriopoulos put together two stacks and slid them forward for a bet to 3,500,000. Gerber went into the tank before eventually mucking his cards.

Dumont Finishes Off Campelo

Niveau 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Breno Campelo
Breno Campelo

Campelo was down to one of the shortest stacks in the tournament but managed to double up once. However, he got the last of his 1,100,000 in the middle with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} but ran square into the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} of Nicolas Dumont.

The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} which provided no help to Campelo. The {2-Hearts} on the turn gave him a flush draw but the {2-Spades} on the river sent Campelo to the payout desk.

Petrangelo Loses Flip to Cabrera

Niveau 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Demosthenes Kiriopoulos raised it up to 330,000 and was called by David Cabrera from two seats over. Nick Petrangelo then moved all-in for around 3.8 million on the button and Kiriopoulos folded. Cabrera, however, called and the following coin flip emerged.

Nick Petrangelo: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
David Cabrera: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop instantly improved Cabrera to the superior pair and he held onto the lead throughout the {2-Spades} turn and {8-Spades} river. Since neither player had a spade in their hand, Petrangelo was sent to the rail in 45th place.
