Nick Guagenti Eliminated in 18th Place ($16,264)

Niveau 17
Nick Guagenti
Nick Guagenti

Badeucey

Nick Guagenti was all-in for the last chip and looked up by Ian O'Hara. With Guagenti patting all the way, O'Hara on the button discarded two each on the first two drawing rounds and was then stumped. "I have no idea what to do," he mumbled while staring at his cards. He then took one new card and they flipped em over.

Nick Guagenti: {5-Spades} / {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Ian O'Hara: {4-Clubs} / {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}

O'Hara had some outs with his Badugi draw and indeed got there with the {10-Hearts} to win it all, sending Guagenti to the payout desk in 18th place for $16,264.

Gregorich Doubles Through O'Hara

Niveau 17

Badeucey

In a battle of the blinds, Mark Gregorich was all-in for 26,000 against Ian O'Hara prior to the first drawing round. They discarded three each, then O'Hara took three and Gregorich one. On the final draw, O'Hara took two and Gregorich patted.

Gregorich tabled the {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} / {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and scooped it all as O'Hara only had the {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Guagenti Gets Coolered; O'Hara Climbs Further

Niveau 16

Badugi

Nick Guagenti saw his stack reduced to literal fumes when he clashed with Joao Vieira. Both discarded one each on the first draw and then patted the last two draws after which Vieira rolled over the {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. Guagenti didn't show his cards but later disclosed he had a seven-five.

The rise of Ian O'Hara then continued in another Badugi hand in which he left Mark Gregorich on fumes, ending the hand with two pats on the final draw. O'Hara bet and received a call to reveal {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} as the winning hand.

Schulman and Le In the Lead

Niveau 16

A-5 Triple Draw

Tuan Le bet three-ways for Mike Gorodinsky and Nick Schulman to call and they all discarded one each on the next draw. Le bet once more and Gorodinsky called. Schulman then raised and that got the job done as both of his opponents folded.

Alongside Naoya Kihara on another table, Schulman and Le are at the top of the leaderboard by some margin.

Zyrin Chips Up; Loses Some to Bellande

Niveau 16

5-Card Draw High

After taking one card each on the previous draw, Anatolii Zyrin checked and Brian Rast bet 77,000. Zyrin then check-raised for nearly all of his chips and Rast folded with his covered stack size.

Zyrin then took on Jean-Robert Bellande and discarded one, while Bellande took two. Zyrin bet 25,000 only for Bellande to make it 90,000 to go and force a fold.

The O'Hara Comeback Train is Rolling

Niveau 16
Ian O'Hara
Ian O'Hara

No-Limit Hold'em

Ian O'Hara was back down to 51,000 when he moved all in from the hijack and was called on the button by Jordan Siegel. The blinds folded and O'Hara was at risk.

Ian O'Hara: {k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Jordan Siegel: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop brought O'Hara the help he needed with a pair of sixes, and the {k-Clubs} turn solidified his lead.

He needed to fade a ten on the river and did just that with the {5-Hearts} to earn a double up to over 100,000.

Shortly after, with approximately 70,000 in the pot and a completed board of {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts} on the felt, O'Hara bet 64,000 from his big blind into Mark Gregorich in the lojack, leaving himself a single T-1,000 chip behind.

Gregorich weighed his decision, then opted to fold, awarding O'Hara another pot, as he continues to rebuild his stack from the brink of elimination.

O'Hara Back From the Brink

Niveau 16

Badugi

Down to his last 10,000, Ian O'Hara was all-in and looked up by none other than his previous nemesis Joao Vieira. Both drew two each on the first draw followed by one each on the remaining two draws.

O'Hara tabled the {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and spiked the {3-Clubs} while Vieira's {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} only caught the {a-Hearts}.

Soon after, O'Hara was all-in for 36,000 and Randy Ohel made the call.

The first drawing round brought one new card each while O'Hara then patted the last two draws. Ohel took one each but couldn't beat the {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} of O'Hara, who scored back-to-back double-ups.
