Chance Kornuth raised to 225,000 and Aaron Mermelstein as the far shortest stack defended out of the big blind.

"It's still $10k," Kornuth remarked and Mermelstein replied "yeah but I gotta at least see the flop". Mermelstein then pushed for the rest of it on the {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and Kornuth called in an instant.

Aaron Mermelstein: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Chance Kornuth: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}

With one eight gone and the ace dead as that would give Kornuth broadway, the chances of Mermelstein were very slim. It was all over on the {q-Clubs} turn and the {6-Diamonds} river ended his run in 14th place for $67,313.

Shuda Doubles Through Kornuth

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Gregory Shuda
Gregory Shuda

Chance Kornuth and Gregory Shuda invested 240,000 before the flop and a raising war on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop got the chips of both in with Shuda as the player at risk.

Gregory Shuda: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Chance Kornuth: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

"Come on spades," Shuda demanded but he was equally happy about the {k-Clubs} turn, which provided the superior two pair. Another blank followed with the {j-Hearts} river and Shuda doubled for 1,885,000 in order to surpass Kornuth on the leaderboard.

Shuda Chips Up Further in Three-Way Action

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Gregory Shuda opened the action with a raise and was called by Josh Arieh from one seat over and Scott Ball in the big blind. The {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop was checked by Ball, Shuda then bet 250,000 and that forced a fold from Arieh. Ball opted to see one more card and tossed in calling chips.

On the {10-Diamonds} turn, Ball checked and Shuda immediately bet 500,000 in order to claim the pot right there.

Shuda Chips Up Even Further

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Scott Ball stopped the downfall after he bet a three-bet flop of {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for 150,000 and forced two folds.

What followed was a four-way limped pot to the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop on which it checked to Chance Kornuth on the button. He made it 175,000 to go and Gregory Shuda in the small blind was the only caller. After the {a-Clubs} turn, Shuda bet 500,000 and Kornuth surrendered swiftly.

Chance Kornuth Eliminated in 13th Place ($80,105)

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Scott Ball raised the pot and Chance Kornuth then three-bet the pot from one seat over. Ball moved all-in and the dealer already announced all-in and call. "I haven't called yet but I gonna do so now," Kornuth said and the cards were flipped over.

Chance Kornuth: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Scott Ball: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop was already huge for Ball and he locked it up on the {6-Clubs} turn, making the {7-Hearts} river a formality. Both stacks were counted as they were very close in chips. Ball had 1,735,000 at his disposal and Kornuth was covered by just 10,000 to exit in 13th place for $80,105.

Stephen Hubbard Eliminated in 12th Place ($80,105)

Stephen Hubbard

Tong Li limped in from middle position, Jonathan Depa limped in from the hijack, Stephen Hubbard limped the small blind, and Fabian Brandes checked his option.

The four players checked the {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop to the {j-Hearts} turn. Action checked to Depa who bet 300,000. Hubbard then potted, Brandes and Li got out of the way, Depa moved in chips to cover Hubbard, and Hubbard got his chips in.

Stephen Hubbard: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Jonathan Depa: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The {5-Hearts} completed the board to secure the pot for Depa with his boat, and Hubbard made his exit in 12th place for $80,105.

Jonas Kronwitter Eliminated in 11th Place ($97,266)

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jonas Kronwitter
Jonas Kronwitter

Jonas Kronwitter had most of his short stack in before the flop and was called by Sam Stein. The German and Austria resident jokingly said "good luck" before they headed to the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop. Kronwitter jammed for around 250,000 and Stein snap-called.

Jonas Kronwitter: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Sam Stein: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Kronwitter had plenty of outs to make a straight and potentially chop. Some of them vanished on the {8-Diamonds} turn as Stein had diamonds covered, and the {7-Clubs} river only gave Kronwitter an inferior pair of sevens. As a result, the German was eliminated in 11th place and the final 10 are now on two five-handed tables. Once the next contender bows out, they will combine to the nine-handed unofficial final table.
