Arieh Doubles With Flopped Quads

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Josh Arieh from under the gun, Scott Ball in the small blind and Gregory Shuda in the big blind headed to the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop. Ball checked and Shuda bet 300,000 for Arieh to call and Ball to fold.

"Pot," Shuda declared on the {8-Spades} turn, which happened to be for 1,500,000 in total. Arieh had fewer than that behind and snap-called all-in.

Josh Arieh: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Gregory Shuda: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {q-Spades} river was already meaningless as Arieh had flopped quads kings and doubled for 1,070,000, putting a dent into Shuda's big stack.

Ball Takes A Pot Without Showdown

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

On the heads-up turn of {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}. Scott Ball bet 500,000 into a pot of nearly two times as much. Gregory Shuda was in the tank and mulled it over for a bit. "Do you have any threes in there?" he asked and Ball grinned back with some casual chatter thereafter.

Shuda used one time bank extension and sent his cards into the muck.

Soon after, they were three ways to the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} turn on which Ball in the small blind and Shuda in the big blind checked. Jared Bleznick bet 325,000 in the cutoff and Ball called, Shuda folded.

The {3-Diamonds} river was checked and Ball announced the top set, tabled the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} to win the next pot.

Brandes Pulls Further Ahead

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Tong Li checked and subsequently called a bet worth 400,000 by Fabian Brandes. Li then also checked the {3-Spades} on the turn and Brandes sized down to make it 250,000 to go. That was enough to win the pot without any further resistance, as Li quickly folded.

Arieh Now Leads On the Feature Table

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Gregory Shuda took even more hits to his stack while Josh Arieh started to run hot and he also dragged in the latest pot as well.

Three ways to the {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Scott Ball and Shuda checked out of the blinds and Arieh bet 275,000 from under the gun. Ball called while Shuda let go and the remaining two players checked the {8-Clubs} turn. After the {5-Clubs} river, Ball made it 350,000 to go and Arieh raised it up to 1,800,000.

That sent Ball into the tank and he invested one time bank extension before folding.

"Chance ran good at the 15k/30k level, Josh is running great at the 50k/100k level," Jared Bleznick summed up the outcome.

Sam Stein opened to 225,000 in the cutoff, David Williams got his 720,000 chips in from the big blind, and Stein called.

David Williams: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Sam Stein: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} to put all of the aces out, and Williams secured the double-up.

Jared Bleznick Eliminated in 10th Place ($97,266)

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jared Bleznick
Jared Bleznick

Over on the main feature table, Josh Arieh raised to 300,000 in the cutoff and Jared Bleznick reraised the pot to 1,050,000 on the button.

"How much do you have behind?" Arieh inquired when it was his turn to act once more. Bleznick carefully counted the 1,400,000 he had behind and Arieh then called. On the {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Arieh checked his option and Bleznick then pushed all-in.

Arieh immediately grabbed his remaining four time bank extensions and shuffled them while talking through potential hands and options for his holdings, which he didn't disclose yet. Ultimately, Arieh double-checked his current stack and then settled on a call.

"I don't have aces," Bleznick announced and tabled the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. "Oh good," an instantly relieved Arieh said and turned over his {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} for the overpair.

The {6-Hearts} on the turn provided an additional flush draw for Arieh to take away some outs for Bleznick and the {3-Clubs} river ended his tournament run in 10th place.

There will now be a short break to move the players to the unofficial final table and colour up some chips. All seat assignments and updated counts are to follow.

Redraw of the Unofficial Final Table

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

There are around 36 minutes left in the level and the unofficial final table has commenced.

Fabian Brandes leads the way ahead of Josh Arieh. Once the official eight-handed final table has been reached, all contenders will receive an additional six 30-second time bank extentions. At the end of the current level, a 60-minute dinner break is scheduled and another four levels will follow thereafter or once the last five players have been reached - whatever comes first.
