David Williams Eliminated in 9th Place ($120,457)

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
David Williams
David Williams

The action started with a raise to 300,000 by David Williams and Fabian Brandes min-clicked it back from one seat over. Once it folded all the way back to Williams, he raised the pot and Brandes pushed all-in for Williams to snap-call.

David Williams: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Fabian Brandes: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}

"Good luck," Brandes immediately told his table neighbor after the cards had been flipped over. He gained more equity on the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop but many outs then vanished when the {a-Spades} appeared on the turn. Brandes needed a spade and the board not to pair, which is exactly what happened when the {7-Spades} rolled off on the river.

Without any further ado, Williams shook hands with Brandes and then vaulted out of his chair to head to the payout desk. He receives $120,457 for the efforts while Brandes further pulled ahead atop the leaderboard.

Arieh Adding

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Josh Arieh opened to 300,000 in early position and Scott Ball called on the button.

The dealer spread the {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Arieh bet 250,000, and Ball called.

Both players checked the {k-Diamonds} turn to the {a-Clubs} river, where Arieh check-called a bet of 650,000.

Ball showed {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}, while Arieh tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} to take the pot.

On the next hand, Arieh opened to 300,000, and received three callers in Fabian Brandes, Emmanuel Sebag, and Gregory Shuda.

The flop fell {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, action checked to Arieh who bet 400,000, and all three opponents folded.

Quick Hands Without Any Drama

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Emmanuel Sebag raised to 250,000 on the button and Josh Arieh called in the big blind. Arieh led the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop for 300,000 and Sebag called. Both checked the {10-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river as Arieh announced queen-high, which Sebag had beat with the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Fabian Brandes then made it 250,000 to go for Tong Li in the hijack, Arieh in the small blind and Sam Stein in the big blind to go. Arieh bet the {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop for 550,000 and all his opponents folded.

Gregory Shuda then min-raised to 200,000 in the cutoff to get calls by the two big stacks Arieh and Brandes behind. It checked to Arieh on the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and he bet 275,000. Brandes came along and Shuda let go. The {5-Spades} fell on the turn and Brandes opted for a bet worth 400,000 to win the pot right there.

No Call for Depa

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Josh Arieh raised it up to 250,000 in the cutoff and was called by Sam Stein on the button. Jonathan Depa then three-bet the pot to 1,150,000 in the big blind and Arieh let go.

Stein was interested, however, and asked his opponent how many chips he had behind. Depa had another 1,475,000 beyond his squeeze and that eventually forced out Stein.

Straight for Shuda

Niveau 27 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Fabian Brandes opened to 250,000 in middle position, Emmanuel Sebag called in the small blind, and Gregory Shuda defended the big blind.

The trio checked the {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop to the {8-Hearts} turn. Sebag checked, Shuda bet 300,000, Brandes folded, and Sebag called.

The {7-Hearts} completed the board, Sebag checked, and Shuda bet 350,000. Sebag used a time extension to think about his decision before putting in the calling chips.

"Straight," said Shuda, as he tabled the {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and collected the pot.

Shuda Gets Shorter; Arieh Chips Up

Niveau 27 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Tong Li limped in the cutoff and Gregory Shuda did so in the small blind, Josh Arieh checked out of the big blind. On the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, only Shuda check-called for 250,000 when Arieh bet and then led the {a-Spades} turn for 500,000.

Arieh gave it brief consideration and raised to 1,100,000, which won the pot right there as Shuda folded.

One hand later, Fabian Brandes opened to 300,000 and Jonathan Depa three-bet the pot to 1,150,000 from the very next seat to collect the chips uncontested.

Ball Chips Up Through Brandes

Niveau 27 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Scott Ball raised the pot to 360,000 and Fabian Brandes defended the big blind. They checked the {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and {10-Diamonds} turn. On the {q-Clubs} river, Brandes bet the pot for 900,000 and Ball called after some 15 seconds.

"You win," Brandes said and conceded the pot by pushing his cards towards the muck. Ball didn't have to show but exposed his {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} anyways.
