Legat Goes Runner-Runner to Crack Hu's Aces

Niveau 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Simon Legat was in a heads-up pot against Anthony Hu and all of the chips got in the middle on the flop of {7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, with Hu being the player at risk.

Anthony Hu: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Simon Legat: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Hu was in great shape to double up with his superior overpair, but the board ran out {9-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for Legat to hit a runner-runner straight and win the pot, eliminating Hu in the process.

"Absolutely brutal," someone at the table commented.

Meltzer Forces Big River Fold from Moreno

Niveau 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With around 70,000 already in the middle on the {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Jordan Meltzer bet 21,000 from the small blind. Johnnie Moreno called from the button.

On the {6-Spades} turn, Meltzer continued for 42,000. Moreno called after roughly 30 seconds.

On the {2-Spades} river, Meltzer went into the tank for roughly two minutes and settled on a bet of 172,000. Moreno then went into the tank himself for just under three minutes before opting to click the fold button.

Both Meltzer and Moreno are two of the biggest stacks in the room, with both players enjoying a healthy surge on Day 2.
