Leng Shoves Out Depaulo

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 900 ante

A player under the gun raised to 2,500 and Ryan Depaulo called. From the button, Ryan Leng three-bet to 12,500.

The original raiser folded but Depaulo stuck around, both players standing pat. Depaulo checked over to Leng, who announced all in.

Depaulo, with around 12,000 left, went into the tank for several moments. "I don't even know what I'm thinking through," he said before mucking.

"Half my stack gone in two hands. Time to nit it up," Depaulo added after the hand.

FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver has also taken his seat at this table.

Erdman Halts Shack-Harris' Momentum

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 900 ante

Brandon Shack-Harris raised to 2,000 and received calls from Travis Erdman and Oscar Johansson in the blinds. All three players took one.

Erdman opened the betting after the draw, putting out 6,000. Johansson quickly mucked, but Shack-Harris studied the decision for a moment before also sliding his cards back to the dealer.

Despite being forced to give up that pot, Shack-Harris is still sitting on a massive stack and contending for the chip lead.

Kalas' Tank-Call Goes Wrong

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 900 ante

Heads-up after the draw, Kane Kalas put out a bet of 6,400 before Preston McEwen, in the big blind, re-raised enough to put Kalas all in.

Kalas had around 10,000 left and went into the tank for several minutes, re-checking his cards a few times before sticking in a stack of his chips.

He showed a ten-six, but McEwen had woken up with eight-five to bust the poker pro-crooner.

Two in a Row For Kruse

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 900 ante

Neymar created a buzz when he made an appearance in an event yesterday, but he's not the only European soccer star making an impact on the WSOP.

German national team member Max Kruse just took down two consecutive pots, one of them at the hands of Yuval Bronshtein, a former champion of this event.

Kruse raised to 1,700 and both Bronshtein on the button and the big blind called. Kruse stood pat, Bronshtein took one, and the big blind took two.

Kruse bet out again and elicited two quick folds, the big blind showing 7-6 with an ace. Kruse flashed 8-4 and took the pot with a wide smile on his face.

The next hand, Kruse raised again to 1,700 and got a call from the player in the big blind. He took one and bet out 2,700, and once again his opponent quickly mucked.

Kyte Flies Up Leaderboard After Making Huge Call

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 900 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,500, the player in the cutoff called, and Jon Kyte three-bet to 7,000 in the big blind. Only the player in the cutoff made the call.

Kyte stood pat and the cutoff drew one.

After Kyte checked, the cutoff moved all in for over 25,000, sending the Norwegian star into the tank.

Ultimately he came to a call to see his opponent begrudgingly show {j-}{9-}{5-}{3-}{2-}.

Kyte then turned up {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for the winner to claim a huge pot and send his opponent to the rail

Ho Trashes Aldemir's Property After Losing Pot

Niveau 5 : 300/500, 800 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

How's that for a teasing headline? Rest assured it was all very friendly.

After Ryan Riess was all in pre-draw for crumbs, Thomas Newton raised to 1,000 and was called by Koray Aldemir, Maria Ho, and Mark Fraser.

Riess then drew three, Newton took two, Aldemir one, Ho two, and Fraser three.

Action was then checked to Aldemir who bet 3,000. Only Ho called to see Aldemir turn over {9-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. Ho mucked her cards with playful anger claiming she had the smoothest of tens, then took a post-it note a friend had given Aldemir that read "Hooray for Koray" and tossed it onto the ground.

Nearby floor staff saw the incident and while they considered banishing Ho from the tournament for her outburst (ok, no they didn't - everyone had a good laugh), the post-it note was retrieved and arguably the most fun table in the room carried on to the next hand.
