Edgar Takes Down Massive Four-Bet Pot

Matt Edgar raised from the cutoff and was called by Danny Wong on the button. Yuval Bronshtein three-bet out of the big blind only to see Edgar four-bet. Wong and Bronshtein both called to generate a sizable pot prior to the initial draw.

On the first draw Bronshtein and Edgar each took one card while Wong drew two. Action then checked through to the second draw.

During the second draw, the same drawing pattern was repeated, after which Bronshtein checked to Edgar, who fired off a bet. Wong raised and Bronshtein, unperturbed, re-popped the bet. Edgar and Wong flatted.

The final draw saw Bronshtein and Edgar stand pat and Wong take one last card. Bronshtein checked again and Edgar bet out. Wong released his hand and Bronshtein, after some consideration, followed suit. "Why are you so good?" asked Edgar of Bronshtein. Bronshtein did not give an immediate answer as he watched his opponent scoop a massive pot to take the chiplead.

Wasserson Battles Thorpe in Entertaining Yet Shortlived Pot

"Eric," said Mike Thorpe. "Is it your big blind? Then I raise."

Shaun Deeb folded in the small blind and Eric Wasserson was in the big blind.

"Mike," said Eric Wasserson. "Is it your button? Then I call."

Wasserson drew two and Thorpe drew one. Wasserson then checked.

"Check?" said Daniel Zack jokingly. "Surely your two-card draws are ahead of his one-card draws?"

Thorpe bet and Wasserson raised. Thorpe called. Wasserson stood pat and Thorpe drew one.

Wasserson then bet and Thorpe flung his cards into the muck. Wasserson tabled and took down the pot.

Johnson Fights Back

Action folded to the current tournament short stack Marco Johnson in the cutoff, who raised. Billy O'Neil called out of the big blind to send the two players to the first draw.

O'Neil took two cards on the first draw while Johnson only drew one after which O'Neil check-called a bet from Johnson.

Both players took one card during the second draw and action checked through to the final draw, where O'Neil stood pat and Johnson took another card. O'Neil then checked to Johnson, who bet out and was called fairly quickly. Johnson tabled and O'Neil mucked to send some chips Johnson's way.

Jon Turner Eliminated in 18th Place ($16,561)

Action folded to Mike Thorpe in the cutoff who opened and received a single call from Jon Turner in the big blind.

On the first draw Turner took two while Thorpe stood pat. Turner then checked to Thorpe who bet enough to him all in. Turner went into the tank with just 17,000 behind. Meanwhile, Thorpe chatted away, urging Turner to fold, saying "Do you wanna die now or die later? Look into my eyes Jon, live another day". Turner did eventually let go of his hand.

A few hands later Turner raised all in from the cutoff and was called by Thorpe out of the big blind.

Both players took three cards on the initial draw. Thorpe then jokingly fired off a bet, which of course was returned to his stack.

One the second draw, Thorpe stood pat while Turner drew two. The same drawing pattern was repeated during the final draw and Thorpe turned over . Turner revealed he held . The first card he peeled was a keeping him alive. However, the last was a , pairing Turner up and sending him out of the tournament.
