Szymaszek Bubbles 2-7 Triple Draw Championship

Niveau 15

Matt Szymaszek raised and Farzad Bonyadi re-raised from the big blind. Szymaszek put in his last 5,000 chips and was all in.

Szymaszek drew two, two and one while Bonyadi drew two and then stood pat on both subsequent draws.

Before Szymaszek peeled his final card, Bonyadi tabled his cards. He showed {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a wheel to leave Szymaszek drawing dead with {8-}{7-}{5-}{2-}.

To add insult to injury, Szymaszek made his eight with the {6-} but was eliminated nonetheless. The remaining players take home $15,561.

Volpe Out, Bubble Play Commences

Niveau 15
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Action folded to Brian Hastings in the small blind who raised. Paul Volpe, the shortest stack left in the tournament. called out of the big blind to send the two players heads-up to the initial draw.

On the first draw Hastings took three cards to Volpe's two. Hastings then bet out enough to put Volpe all in. Volpe made the call for his tournament life.

The second draw saw Hastings take two cards while Volpe stood pat. The same drawing pattern was repeated during the final draw and Volpe turned over {9-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Hastings, meanwhile, held {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, needing an eight or two to eliminate Volpe. Hastings slowly peeled the last card before flipping over {8-} to send Volpe to the rail two spots off the money. With Volpe's elimination, just 19 players remain with 18 spots getting paid, meaning that the tournament is now on the official bubble.

Dinner Break

Niveau 14

The remaining 20 players have been sent on a 60-minute dinner break. With the field just two eliminations away from the money, bubble play will commence shortly after their return.

Szymaszek Left With Crumbs

Niveau 14

Action folded to Eric Wasserson in the cutoff who opened. Matt Szymaszek three bet from the button and was called by Farzad Bonyadi out of the big blind as well as Wasserson.

All three players took two cards on the initial draw after which action was checked to Szymaszek who led out. Both Bonyadi and Wasserson made the call to maintain three-way action heading to the second draw.

On the second draw, Bonyadi and Wasserson each drew two cards while Szymaszek took just one. Bonyadi and Wasserson both checked and Szymaszek fired off another bet. Bonyadi called and Wasserson, after some deliberation, laid his hand down.

During the final draw Bonyadi and Szymaszek stood pat. Bonyadi then led out and Szymaszek thought hard about his decision. He ultimately tossed in calling chips but mucked after Bonyadi showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} to leave himself with just 15,000 heading into the dinner break.

Deeb Calls Wong's Bluff

Niveau 14
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb raised, Danny Wong made it three bets and Deeb made it four bets before Wong called.

Deeb drew two and Wong one card, and both players checked. They then each drew one card and checked.

They both drew one on the third draw and Deeb check-called a bet from Wong.

"Show or muck?" Deeb asked Wong. Deeb then tabled {q-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and that was good enough to take down the pot.
