Gazzola Flops Boat for a Double Up

Niveau 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ben Gazolla moved all in on the button for around 250,000 and got a call from Casey Hatmaker in the big blind.

Ben Gazzola: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Casey Hatmaker: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The flop couldn't have been more perfect for Gazzola with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} showing up and there was no help on the {6-Hearts} turn or {j-Diamonds} river for Hatmaker, giving Gazzola the double up right before the break.

Landon Tice
Landon Tice

Christoph Cannuli, who has been on a heater after starting with just 141,000 chips, opened from early position to 40,000. Landon Tice, in the hijack, raised to 250,000 of his 260,000 chips. Cannuli called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and both players put in the extra 10,000.

Landon Tice: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Christoph Cannuli: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Tice enjoyed a full double-up while Cannuli's stack went down to a little over a million.

Cannuli Gets Back to Back Pots off Sverko

Niveau 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Christoph Cannuli was on the button and heads-up against small blind, Gregor Sverko. There was around 150,000 in the pot and the board read {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Sverko checked to Cannuli who bet 75,000 which sent Sverko into the tank for a minute before he decided to call. Cannuli flipped over {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens which was good and Sverko mucked his hand without showing.

The next hand had these two facing off again on a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Canulli checked to Sverko who was now on the button and threw out a bet of 25,000 which Canulli called.

The turn brought a {k-Hearts} and both players checked.

An {a-Diamonds} showed up on the river and Canulli checked to Sverko who bet 50,000. Canulli called and showed {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} for two pair and Sverko showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for an underpair to the board and no heart either for the flush.

Canulli's stack grew to over one million after the back to back faceoffs against the Day 1 chip leader.

With around 750,000 already in the pot on a [74x4h3cAd] board, Loc Nguyen checked from late position over to Jeremy Wing in the hijack.

Wing shoved for his remaining 775,000 chips and put Nguyen in the tank. Eventually, the Houston native would fold and Wing would send his stack over the 1,500,000 mark.

Dibernardi Eliminates Levy

Niveau 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
David DiBernardi
David DiBernardi

Simon Levy jammed his last 220,000 from the cutoff and two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner David Dibernardi called from the small blind.

Simon Levy: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
David Dibernardi: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and the {10-Diamonds} turn gave Levy a flush draw.

However, the {j-Clubs} river gave Dibernardi a pair of jacks and eliminated Levy from the tournament.

Pechie Knocks Out Yoon

Niveau 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

David Yoon raised in early position and Justin Pechie moved all in from the cutoff for around 500,000. Pechie had Yoon's stack covered and he sat in the tank for a minute before deciding to call.

Justin Pechie: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
David Yoon: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The last two aces in the deck came out on the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop and Yoon said, "Would have got it in anyways!" The turn was a {5-Clubs} and a {6-Clubs} on the river and Pechie took down the pot with his trip aces king kicker over Yoon's jack kicker.
