Cannuli Gets Back to Back Pots off Sverko

Niveau 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Christoph Cannuli was on the button and heads-up against small blind, Gregor Sverko. There was around 150,000 in the pot and the board read {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Sverko checked to Cannuli who bet 75,000 which sent Sverko into the tank for a minute before he decided to call. Cannuli flipped over {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens which was good and Sverko mucked his hand without showing.

The next hand had these two facing off again on a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Canulli checked to Sverko who was now on the button and threw out a bet of 25,000 which Canulli called.

The turn brought a {k-Hearts} and both players checked.

An {a-Diamonds} showed up on the river and Canulli checked to Sverko who bet 50,000. Canulli called and showed {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} for two pair and Sverko showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for an underpair to the board and no heart either for the flush.

Canulli's stack grew to over one million after the back to back faceoffs against the Day 1 chip leader.
