Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Cliff Josephy
Cliff Josephy

The action was picked up on the river as Cliff Josephy moved all in for his remaining 37,500 into a pot of roughly 80,000. The board was {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades} and his opponent was well in the tank.

The button took nearly two minutes before eventually letting their hand go awarding the big pot to Josephy.

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Richie Allen raised to 1,600 in the cutoff and got a call by the player on the button.

The flop gave {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and both players chose to check. A {6-Clubs} showed up on the turn and this time Allen led out for 4,200, which was enough to win the pot without more resistance.

Wolfe Hits Miracle River to Stay Alive

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

With 44,000 in the middle and the board showing {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} three players were all in. Stephen Wolfe had 8,600 remaining and was at risk for his tournament life. The hands were all tabled.

Stephen Wolfe: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}

Wolfe flopped two-pair but was up against a better two-pair and was in need of two remaining sevens or two queens or it was the end of the road for him. The river came the {7-Clubs} and Wolfe hit the card he needed to scoop the pot and triple up his stack.

Ko Makes a Big Come Back

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

In a three-way pot, the flop was {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} when Joao Vieira checked from the big blind and so did the cutoff. Young Ko bet 1,000 on the button both Joao and the cutoff called.

The turn brought the {a-Diamonds} and Vieira checked to the cutoff who sent 4,000 in the middle. Ko and Vieira called.

The river showed a {k-Hearts} and both Vieira and the cutoff opted to check. Ko bet 12,000 and after some consideration, only Vieira called. Ko tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a set and Vieira quickly mucked his hand.

Ko, who had only 3,000 chips left 30 minutes ago has now around 80,000.

Capriles Doubles

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

All the chips were in the middle on the flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} with Miguel Capriles on the button at risk for 21,400 against the big blind.

Miguel Capriles: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Big Blind: {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Capriles flopped top two pair and a flush draw, the big blind had bottom two pair. The runout of {6-Hearts}{9-Spades} gave the big blind four pairs which unfortunately is no good in this game. Capriles' top two pair remained good and the Venezuelan got a much-needed double up.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The turn was a huge one when Brandes made eights-full and his opponent had trips and smaller full-house on the river.
