Day 3 of Event #39 $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha 6-Handed at the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has come to an end which saw the field reduced from 16 players down to the final table of six players. Israel's Leonid Yanovski is still the chip leader with 8,700,000 chips which will be good for 145 big blinds. Yanovski's gained most of the chips when he eliminated Amirhossein Shayesteh in seventh for a huge pot to keep him on course to win the top prize of $371,358 and the gold bracelet.

Close on Yanovski's heals is Fabian Brandes, who finished second in Event #19 $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed for $907,132. Brandes will look to better his recent result and take down his first WSOP bracelet.

Amirhossein Shayesteh Eliminated in 7th Place ($40,878)

Action was picked up on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} in a pot of roughly 400,000. Leonid Yanovski bet 125,000 and Amirhossein Shayesteh potted to roughly 900,000. Yanovski announced pot and Shayesteh called for his remaining stack of nearly 1,100,000.

Amirhossein Shayesteh: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Leonid Yanovski: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

Aces were in good shape but would need to dodge the kings and straight draw of Yanovski. When the {2-Spades} turn hit it sealed the fate of Shayesteh cracking his aces. The inconsequential {9-Hearts} completed the board and it was the end of the road for Shayesteh in 7th place.

On the button, Jamey Hendrickson raised pot for 210,000 and Grzegorz Derkowski didn't take long from the big blind to announce all in. Hendrickson paid with a lower stack and they revealed their cards.

Jamey Hendrickson: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}
Grzegorz Derkowski: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Derkowski had the dominating hand, and found two pair on a board {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} to rack the pot and bust Hendrickson in 8th place of the tournament.

Small Pots for Yanovski and Hendrickson

Niveau 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

In the first hand, the flop read {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} when Thomas Morrison checked in the big blind before calling a bet from Leonid Yanovski for 100,000.

The turn brought the {j-Hearts} and this time Morrison check-folded after another bet from Yanovski for 300,000.

A few minutes after, the flop showed {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} in a three way pot. Morrison checked in the small blind and so did Jamey Hendrickson in the big blind. Grzegorz Derkowski also checked and the {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn. It checked to Hendrickson who bet 200,000 and it was enough to win the pot.

Only one poker player in history — Phil Hellmuth — has reached the 11 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet plateau. On Monday, Phil Ivey could join one of poker's most exclusive clubs.

The for-now 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner is currently sitting on a large stack with five players remaining in Event #42: $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em, which slated to play down to a winner tonight.

As it stands, Hellmuth is the record holder with 16 bracelets, followed by Ivey, Johnny Chan, and Doyle Brunson tied at 10.

The $100k was originally scheduled to wrap up with the final table on Tuesday, airing on PokerGO, but PokerGO called an audible and decided to livestream the final table tonight. At the time of publishing, the remaining players were on a dinner break and will come back at 7 p.m. to play it down to a winner, who will receive $1,897,363. Coverage on PokerGO will resume at 8 p.m., along with PokerNews' live reporting updates.

With the blinds at 60,000/120,000, Ivey currently sits at 9,075,000, approximately 75 big blinds, good for second in chips. Aleksejs Ponakovs, an online poker crusher, is the chip leader at 14,450,000 and has been dominating play during Monday's Day 2 session.

One for Deak

Niveau 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Ferenc Deak raised to 165,000 under the gun and found two calls with Amirhossein Shayesteh next to him and Fabian Brandes in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and it was checked around to see a {2-Hearts} on the turn. Brandes checked to Deak who bet 390,000 this time, which was enough to make his opponents fold and collect the pot.
