Morrison Doubles Through Jachtmann

Niveau 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The flop was {8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} in a heads-up raised pot when Thomas Morrison checked in the small blind to Jan-Peter Jachtmann who bet 140,000. Morrison decided to raise it to 400,000 and after some thinking, Jachtmann called.

The turn fell the {6-Hearts} and Morrison announced all in for 805,000 chips. Jachtmann tanked for some time and said "I don't think I can fold here", before sending a chip in the middle for the call:

Thomas Morrison: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Morrison already had a set of queens and the river {4-Clubs} didn't change anything to give the double up to Morrison.

Freak Board Sees Jachtmann Take Pot

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Thomas Morrison limped from the cutoff, as did Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the small blind. Botond Barat checked his option.

The flop came {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} which produced a couple of chortles from the players at the table. Everyone checked and the turn unbelievably was the {a-Hearts} which is a 270725/1 chance of occurring, once again all of the players checked.

The {6-Hearts} landed on the river which did not encourage any betting action. Jachtmann confidently announced full house and turned over {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} which neither Barat nor Morrison could beat.

Jan-Peter Jachtmann Eliminated In 14th Place ($18,494)

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jan-Peter Jachtmann
Jan-Peter Jachtmann

The action was picked up when Jan-Peter Jachtmann was all in for his remaining roughly 115,000 and was called by Andrei Mitsiuk in the small blind.

Jan-Peter Jachtmann: {a-}{k-}{9-}{9-}
Andrei Mitsiuk: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-}{5-}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Jachtmann's set of nines fell short to the nut-flush of Mitsiuk, eliminating the bracelet winner in 14th place.
