Rheem's Stack Comes Crumbling Down

Niveau 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Chino Rheem's once-massive stack of more than 1,000,000 had been reduced to 425,000 when he moved all in and was up against Evan Avery.

Chino Rheem: {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Evan Avery: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Avery hit two pair on the {7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop and Rheem couldn't hit the miracle runner-runner as the board ran out {8-Spades}{2-Spades}. The one-time chip leader quickly collected his payout slip and ran off to register for the H.O.R.S.E. event.

Suggs Up Above a Million

Niveau 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

A player on the button opened to 40,000 and Mike Suggs called out of the small blind. The big blind folded to send the players heads-up to the flop.

Suggs checked the {10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop and then called the 75,000 bet from his opponent.

Action checked through the {q-Diamonds} turn to the {8-Clubs} river, where Suggs checked for a third time. The button player fired out a bet of 200,000 and Suggs quickly called, showing down {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} to take the pot and surge above 1,000,000

Iorio Doubles Flopped Set Over Flopped Set

Niveau 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

A player in middle position had limped in before Luke Iorio pushed his last 280,000 in the middle on his direct left. The original limper called.

Luke Iorio: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-}{9-}

The {j-Spades} came in the window, but Iorio wasn't in the clear just yet as it was followed by the {9-Clubs}{a-Hearts} to also give his opponent a set. Needing to avoid a one-outer, Iorio dodged the {8-Diamonds} turn and the {k-Diamonds} river to double up near the last level of the night.

Kofoed Survives "Crazy Hand"

Niveau 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

A player moved all in for around 200,000. "Is it on me? I'm all in," Jake Kofoed said as he pushed his entire stack forward, forcing everyone else out.

All-In Player: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Jake Kofoed: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

As Kofoed took out his phone to take a picture of the hand, the flop came {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to give him top set and his opponent the nut flush draw.

"It's never easy," a tablemate said as the {a-Spades} fell on the turn. The river came the {5-Spades} and Kofoed improved to a full house to win the pot and knock out his opponent.

"That's a crazy hand," another tablemate added.

Hebert Gone

Niveau 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Joseph Hebert
Joseph Hebert

2020 WSOP US Domestic Main Event champion Joseph Hebert shoved his last 50,000 into the middle from middle position. Grant Ellis re-jammed from the cutoff and the remaining players got out of the way.

Joseph Hebert: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Grant Ellis: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

It was a flip for Hebert's tournament life but the {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop left him drawing very thin. The {9-Hearts} turn closed the lid on a possible comeback and after the meaningless {5-Hearts} river was dealt, Hebert headed to the payout desk, coming up short very near the end of Day 1.

Halebian Felts McCurdy

Niveau 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Anthony McCurdy shoved for 60,000 from early position and Alexios Halebian raised to 105,000 in the cutoff. The remaining players got out of the way and McCurdy was at risk.

Anthony McCurdy: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Alexios Halebian: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Though McCurdy was at risk, he did have his opponent dominated. That remained the case after the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop but Halebian enjoyed a domination rotation on the {k-Diamonds} turn, leaving McCurdy needing Barry Greenstein to come and save him. It did not happen on the {6-Diamonds} river, ending McCurdy's deep run.
