Weinman Slows Down Mizrachi

Niveau 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

After adding to his starting stack early in the level, Michael Mizrachi three-bet Daniel Weinman from the cutoff. Weinman called to see the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, and checked-called a bet from Mizrachi.

The action repeated on the {q-Hearts} turn, and both players checked on the {j-Hearts} river. Weinman flipped over {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Mizrachi said "nice hand" and slid his cards to the dealer.

Noori Tanks for an Eternity; Gets Shown a "Bluff" by Rodawig

Omaha Hi-Lo

With 32,000 invested so far by Mike Noori to the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} river, he faced another bet by Eric Rodawig who had very few chips behind in a battle of the shorter stacks.

Noori went into the tank for nearly six minutes and nobody called the clock. Nick Guagenti jokingly teased tossing in chips for the next blind when Noori finally folded.

"Please show a bluff," Guagenti said, and Rodawig flashed the {a-}{k-}{j-}{2-} before scooping the pot.

"That's not a bluff," Noori insisted.

Guagenti followed that up with, "this gotta be a new world record for a tank in a HORSE tournament" to which Hansu Chu smiled and nodded in agreement.

When all was said and done, Noori was left with very few chips.

Dirksen Chops; Then Doubles Through Deeb

Niveau 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Dustin Dirksen and Shaun Deeb got most of the chips of the former in after the {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop before the last of it went in after the {6-Clubs} turn. Dirksen tabled the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} while Deeb had the {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a straight. A blank followed on the river and they chopped it.

Soon after, the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop got the chips in between them once more.

Dustin Dirksen: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Shaun Deeb: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The {7-Clubs} turn and {8-Hearts} river secured the double for Dirksen.

Sammartino's Spades Good for Half

Niveau 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

John Veltri raised under the gun to see calls from Maxx Coleman in the hijack and Dario Sammartino in the cutoff. The trio saw a flop of {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Veltri continued with a bet.

Coleman called while Sammartino raised, and the chips were committed to see the {k-Spades} turn. The action checked to Sammartino's bet and the calls were tossed in again before Veltri led out on the {4-Diamonds} river.

Coleman called, Sammartino raised, and all three players went to showdown.

Dario Sammartino: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Maxx Coleman: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
John Veltri: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Sammartino took the high with his flush, while Veltri and Coleman took half of the low with their wheels.

Bruschi Among the Next to Fall

Niveau 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Only 96 players remain and among the latest casualties was also Renan Bruschi. He had some outs in a Razz hand against Larry Bernstein as he peeled the final card, hoping for a nine, seven or six according to the table chat.

Bernstein had his {j-}{9-}{9-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-} fully exposed and Bruschi bricked seventh street to mesh his board right away before heading out of the tournament area.

Lake Cannot Connect With the River

Niveau 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud

Scott Lake: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts} / {9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} / {5-Clubs}
Koray Aldemir: {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} / {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Craig Chait: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Spades} / {x-}

Scott Lake was already all-in and awaiting his fate while Craig Chait and Koray Aldemir played for the side pot. Chait bet fifth and sixth street as they then checked seventh. Chait announced jacks up and Aldemir tabled his queens-up for Chait to all but muck his cards.

"I have a ten-nine, just so you know," Lake said as he exposed the first two cards. He then peeled the last card and it was a blank five to end his tournament.

At the same time, Maria Ho was also spotted on her way out of the tournament area as well.
