Queens Cracked on the Bubble

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A player in late position shoved for their last 27,000 chips and requested from the table: "Double me up or send me home." Brad Cohen, in the cutoff, contemplated for well over a minute before calling off.

Late Position: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Brad Cohen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the late position player started to walk away after saying "Nice playing with you all." The {6-Diamonds} and {2-Spades} completed the board.

Brasel Avoids Bubble Place

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Just before the bubble burst, two players were involved in a big hand on table 501. Action was caught on a board of {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

Charlie Miller bet 75,000 after a check from Stephen Brasel, who finally made the call with only 27,000 behind. On the {a-Hearts} river, Brasel checked again and Miller pushed whole his stack in for around 57,000.

Stephen Brasel was at risk and potentially bubble boy if he called and lost. He finally folded and Charlie Miller took this big pot.

Jorgensen Cracks Aces And Climbs

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The situation is classic: the bubble has burst and a lot of players are disappearing from the tournament. On Theo Jorgensen's table, for example, we caught action with the Danish player trying to eliminate Mitch Garshofsky.

Mitch Garshofsky: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Theo Jorgensen: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The board read {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Theo Jorgensen made a set of nines to eliminate Garshofsky.

Jungmann Stops Here

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Now players are back in action, a lot of shortstack players are trying to do their best to come back in this tournament.

When everybody folded to him, Steven Jungmann tried to take the blinds from the button, announcing all in for 56,000. The player in the small blind folded, but not Michael Johnson in the big blind, who jumped on this occasion to try to double up, with almost the same stack.

Steven Jungmann: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Michael Johnson: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Johnson's ace-king was enough to win.

Driggers Takes it Down

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Stephen Driggers, in the small blind, called a raise to 10,000 by the cutoff. The big blind then moved all in for 18,000. The cutoff put in a four bet to 30,000, and Driggers called.

On the {3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop, Driggers led out for 30,000. His opponent thought for a moment or two, before making the laydown to let Driggers and the big blind have a heads-up showdown.

Big Blind: {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Stephen Driggers: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Driggers was well ahead with top pair and was able to fade his opponent's king as the runout came {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Driggers scooped the pot while his opponent departed for the rail.
