Swanson and Jones Take Down Big Pots

Niveau 16 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

There was a flurry of excitement at table 486 as the players saw back-to-back large pots. While not a participant in either pot, Zach Zaffos had one of the biggest stacks in the field, with nearly 1,000,000 in front of him.

Action for the first of the big hands was picked up with 240,000 in the middle and a [3h9d3dJQc]. Jason Swanson moved all in from the Hijack with 158,000 behind. After a few minutes of deliberation, Shea Jones folded, giving the pot to Swanson.

On the very next hand, action folded around to Swanson in late position. He tossed 20,000 into the middle. The cutoff moved all in. From the big blind, Shea Jones made the call. After Swanson got out of the way, the players tabled their hands., with Jones at risk

Shea Jones: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Cutoff: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Jones was ahead, but needed to dodge his opponent's over card. He did so successfully, as the board came {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, securing the pot and double up for Jones.
