Baker Finds The Call In Cooler Spot

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With the big blind all-in and at risk for his last 58,000, Michael ''Mike'' Baker had a decision from under the gun, on a {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs} board. He had bet 4,500 on the turn when checked to and eventually found a call in response to the all-in after going deep into the tank.

Cards were on their backs and his opponent was surprised to find he was behind with {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} against Mike's {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. The river {9-Hearts} didn't change a thing, moving the North Dakotan up the leaderboard with a little more cushion, while his opponent had to hit the rail.

Hartsell's Ace-Queen Holds to Bust Two Opponents

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Kirk Hartsell led from early position for 6,000. The player to his left went all-in for 26k. Action folded to the big blind, who went all-in for 13k.

Hartsell quickly called and the players tabled their hands.

Hartsell: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Early Position: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Big Blind: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

After a quick discussion amongst the table about the side pots, the board came {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}. With no player connecting, Hartsell's ace high held, busting both opponents.

With the day's field up to 3,173 entrants, the players are now on their second break, this time thirty minutes. Level 9 will begin when they come back, where blinds will increase to 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 big blind ante.

Goodman's Top Pair Good Enough

Niveau 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Lance Goodman was one of four players in a more than 10,000 chip pot going to a flop of {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. The under the gun and middle position players both checked to Goodman, who checked it to his opponent. After a bet of 6,000 from the hijack, Goodman called after the two other players got out of the way.

On the board pairing {2-Diamonds}, Goodman then chose to lead for 10,000 into the opponent in the cutoff. After his opponent made a big raise of 42,000, Goodman jammed all-in for 100,000 more and got called.

With cards turned over, Goodman had the lead with his {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} ahead of the {9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} (flush draw) of his opponent. {8-} fell on the river and Goodman collected almost a full double-up and knocked out the other player.

After an impressive second place in a circuit ring event last month, Goodman is looking to go one better in this event. He was all smiles as he now has over five times the starting stack.

Bickley Double's Up

Niveau 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The button and Robert Bickley in the big blind ended up all-in preflop with the button at risk for 70,000

Button: {k-}{k-}
Robert Bickley: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The board of {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} was clean for Bickley and the 2017 WSOP Europe Main Event Finalist took down a big pot.
