Manion's Over Bet Gets The Job Done

Niveau 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

The action was picked up on the flop of {2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} in a pot of roughly 16,000. Connor Manion bet out first to act to 10,000 and was called by Javier Zarco.

The turn {j-Diamonds} saw Manion lead again for 25,000 and again was called by Zarco.

The board completed the {4-Hearts} and now the amount was for much more. Manion shoved his stack of 137,000 in the middle and Zarco went into the tank.

"You're too greedy" said Zarco as he eventually laid his hand down awarding Manion the sizable pot.

Edwards' Ducks Outflop The Two Pair

Niveau 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Mark Stephen Edwards was found playing a board of {10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} with 40,000 chips in the pot, where he had bet 9,000 from the big blind vs small blind and was called.

His opponent lead for 15,000 on the {j-Spades} turn and he put in his last 53,000 which was quickly called. His {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was ahead of his opponents {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and the {8-Diamonds} secured him the full double up.

''Will I make the news?...I want my mother to see I'm not just a degenerate'' he asked toPokerNews staff.

Burke Flops a Set to Enter Chip Lead Contention

Niveau 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

After a fold from the under-the-gun player, the next to act shoved. Action folded around to Steve Burke in the cutoff, who made the call with his opponent covered. The players tabled their hands.

Steve Burke: {6-}{6-}
Opponent: {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The flop came {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}, giving his opponent two pair, but giving Burke a set of sixes. The board finished with {3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. This sent his opponent to the rail, and himself into the chip lead conversation.

Johnson's Hold Sends Him Up The Leaderboard

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Brian Johnson filled us in on the pre-flop action, where apparently he bet 5,000 from the button and the big blind three-bet jammed to put Johnson at risk. It didn't take long for him to call and put his 191,000 at risk.

Johnson {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Opponent {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

In a big spot for Johnson, he needed to fade some outs. Fortunately the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts} was the board, giving him a full double up.

Ashby Hits Two Pair, Eliminates Opponent

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The under-the-gun player moved all in with his remaining stack of 9,500. Action folded around to Len Ashby in the cutoff, who also shoved, but with 51,500 behind. The button called both shoves, having each of them covered. The blinds got out of the way, and the players turned over their hands.

Under-the-gun: {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Len Ashby: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Button: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, giving Ashby a pair on the flop and a second on the river. In doing so, he busted the under-the-gun player while more than doubling up thanks to the call from the button.
