Negreanu Explodes After Runner-Runner Flush Sends Him to the Rail

Niveau 12 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Andrew Robl opened to 90,000 from late position. David Peters then three-bet all in for around 1,500,000. Daniel Negreanu was next to act, and pulled out his vlogging camera and moved all in for slightly less. Robl folded and the cards were turned over.

Daniel Negreanu: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
David Peters: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

"Pretty cards," said tablemate Sean Winter, having doubled up with Peters' exact same cards on the previous hand, as Negreanu explained the action for the camera.

The flop {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} gave Peters a gut shot, but tens were still in the lead. The turn {7-Spades} also gave Peters a flush draw.

As the river {3-Spades} hit the table, Negreanu slammed his vlogging equipment into the table, scattering his chip stacks.

He then got up from the table, threw his handheld tripod and camera at a wall, all the while muttering under his breath unhappily

"You have me covered?" he said to Peters upon returning to the table, and the dealer confirmed. Negreanu exited the tournament area, recording as he went.

Tang checked to Kabrhel who led out with a bet of 185,000. Winter quickly folded but Tang called to see the {3-Clubs} on the turn. Tang checked again and Kabrhel announced a bet of 380,000 this time. Tang thought for 30 seconds but decided to lay his hand down.

Veneziano Rivered From Super High Roller

Niveau 12 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Steven Veneziano
Steven Veneziano

Sam Soverel opened to 80,000 and got calls from Ben Heath and Chris Hunichen.

Steven Veneziano then three-bet all in for 815,000. Soverel folded and Heath four-bet all in. Hunichen then also folded.

Steven Veneziano: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Ben Heath: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The pocket pair looked to be holding after the {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop and the {4-Clubs} turn, but the river {q-Diamonds} saw Heath river get a pair. Veneziano muttered an expletive, snapped a picture and exited the tournament area.

Another Ill-Timed Bluff from Mateos

Niveau 12 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alex Foxen and Adrian Mateos were heads-up in the blinds with a completed board of {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts} spread across the felt. Foxen led out from the small blind with a bet of 180,000 and Mateos made a large raise to 1,300,000.

Foxen went deep into the tank, using up five of his time banks before he finally made the call. Mateos turned over {k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for just king-high while Foxen showed {j-Clubs}{5-Spades} for trip jacks to claim the pot.

Soverel Snags a Double from Sammartino

Niveau 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Dario Sammartino and Sam Soverel got involved in a preflop raising war which ended up with the two players getting all of their chips in the middle. Soverel was the player at risk for 2,135,000 but turned over the best hand.

Sam Soverel: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Dario Sammartino: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Not only did Soverel have the better of the pocket pairs, but he also had both of the suits covered. The board ran out {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Sammartino was forced to count out a double up.
