Saturday brought more poker players to the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas for Day 1b of Event #51: $400 The Colossus. By night’s end, there were 7,704 entries and only around 1,000 survived and advanced to Day 2. They will join the 684 survivors from Day 1a as the total field reached 13,573 entrants. Official numbers, including payouts, are expected to be released early on Day 2.

Former November Niner Bruno Politano was among the chip leaders after bagging 1.016 million, which was slightly behind Minnesota legend and MSPT Hall of Famer Kou Vang, who made it through with 1.084 million. Less than a week ago, Politano took down the WPT Influencers Tournament winning over $125,000. This will be the Brazilian's first cash in the WSOP this year and he will be looking to make another deep run.

Others to bag were Alexander Green (906,000), Ryan Laplante (755,000), Donnie Peters (597,000), Hayden Fortini (517,000), Barbara Sargent (451,000), Steve Wilkie (415,000), and Mark "Pegasus" Smith (174,000).

Unfortunately, not everyone was so lucky as among those to bust Day 1b were Ben Lysne, Casey Robbins, JJ Liu, Vanessa Kade, Pat Lyons, Greg Raymer, and Alex Outhred.

The surviving players from both flights will return at 10 a.m. on Sunday for Day 2 action. PokerNews will be on-site to capture all the action, so be sure to join us then!
