The word colossus is defined as a thing of “enormous size,” and Event #51: $400 Colossus No-Limit Hold’em certainly fits that description.
Two starting days saw 13,565 players spread out over the Paris and Bally’s ballrooms. Of that massive field, just 1,689 are still in the hunt for the World Series of Poker bracelet when Day 2 begins at 10 a.m. local time.
Leading the way is Kao "Flexx" Saechao, who managed to turn his 40,000 starting stack into 1,514,000 heading into Day 2. Former November Niner Bruno Politano (1,016,000), bracelet winner Ryan Laplante (755,000), who has already locked up his 100th career WSOP cash, and PokerGo’s Donnie Peters (597,000) also return with big stacks.

Others still remaining but more in the middle of the pack include Joe Serock (373,000) and two Main Event finalists, Nick Marchington (311,000) and Alejandro “Papo MC” Lococo (247,000).
Day 2 will consist of 15 40-minute levels and pick up on Level 18, with blinds at 6,000-12,000 and a 12,000 big blind ante. There will be a dinner break after Level 29, which should come around 7 p.m. The full prize pool has yet to be confirmed and will be announced sometime during the day.
What was once a mammoth field will be combined into Bally’s for Day 2, and PokerNews will be on hand throughout the day to capture all of the action.
The start of Day 2 has been delayed. Action should begin in around 10 minutes.

After a 20-minute delay, Day 2 is now officially underway.
The player on the button raised to 25,000 and Martins Kleins called in the the big blind.
The flop came and the button continued for 12,000. Kleins called.
The was the turn and action checked through.
The river was the and Kleins led out for 35,000. The button said "Are you going to show me a seven if I call?". The button eventually called and Kleins showed for the winner as his opponent mucked.

Blomdahl was ahead with his pocket pair as the board came . The river improved him to a full house and knocked out Friedman and doubled through Hazan.
Eliminations have been fast and furious here early on Day 2, with the constant cry of "payout" reverberating around the Bally's ballroom.

Audley Harrison had 23 knockouts in his boxing career but he couldn't knock out his opponents this time. A player from middle position moved all in for 131,000 and Travis Renkens moved all in on the button for 107,000. Harrison went into the tank before deciding to call, having both opponents covered.

Harrison had his opponents against the ropes as he flopped a flush draw , however he couldn't land the knockout punch as the turn came and the river ensuring both players survived.
