Voici les qualifiés pour la nuit de vendredi à samedi, il y a du niveau puisque Christoph Vogelsang, Kevin Rabichow, Anthony Zinno, Dan Smith, Koray Aldemir, John Smith, Jonathan Jaffe, Phil Ivey, Chance Kornuth, Alex Foxen, Dario Sammartino, Sean Winters et Mat gonzalez sont encore en piste. Le Britannique Patrick Kennedy et les Américains Dylan Destefano et Will Stanford sont moins connus mais ils ne sont probablement pas là par hasard !

Phil Ivey avait impressionné lors du WPT HU Championship à 25 000$, il est au rendez-vous du troisième tour de cet Event #6. L'homme aux 10 bracelets a battu Henri Puustinen et Jeremy Ausmus, il faudra gagner un match contre Kevin Rabichow la nuit prochaine pour entrer dans le Grand Huit et encaisser au moins 75 045$.
Si la présence d'Ivey enchante les fans, celle de John Smith est énorme aussi. Spécialiste du duel, cet ancien vétéran a terminé runner-up de ce tournoi (qui était alors à 10 000$ l'entrée) deux fois de suite en 2016 et 2017. A 75 ans, l'Américain tient les cartes et deep-run encore une fois son tournoi fétiche ! Il a battu Michael Rocco puis Ali Imsirovic et affrontera Dylan Destefano pour entrer dans l'argent la nuit prochaine. .
64 joueurs ont participé à la fête et Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Shaun Deeb, Phil Galfond ou David Peters ont sauté au premier tour tout comme les deux seuls tricolores en lice, Julien Martini et YoH_Viral. Mikita Badziakouski, Joao Vieira, Darren Elias ou Cary Katz ont eux perdu au deuxième tour.
Les rescapés des deux premiers affrontements devront encore gagner trois duels pour repartir avec la breloque et l'entrée pour le Tournoi des Champions (un tournoi sur invitation avec 1 million de prizepool et un bracelet au bout, ndlr).

Vieira Running on Fumes After Vogelsang Forces River Fold

João Vieira is down to just 70,000 chips after his overbet on the river was met with a raise from Christoph Vogelsang.
Vogelsang opened to 12,000 and Vieira called.
On the 
flop, both players took over a minute to check their hands.
The same would follow after the 
turn, with each player eventually tapping the table.
The saw Vieira go for a bet of 28,000 into the 24,000 chip pot. After roughly 90 seconds in the tank, Vogelsang came back with a 68,000 raise.
With only 70,000 behind, Vieira visibly winced and would take only a short while to eventually toss his cards into the muck.
