Radanov Doubles Through Ivey

Niveau 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a five-way pot on a board of {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Damjan Radanov bet when the action checked to him. Phil Ivey then check-raised all in and only Radanov called with a stack of 68,000.

Damjan Radanov: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Phil Ivey: {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Ivey had a wrap but couldn't improve as the board ran out {k-Clubs}{6-Spades} to earn Radanov a double-up with trip sixes.

Poker Player Wins WSOP Main Event Satty in His Sleep...Literally

For most, the saying, "I could win that poker tournament in my sleep," is laughable at best. But not for Eric Goldstein, who fell asleep Wednesday night, and then woke up to discover he'd won an $80 satellite into the 2022 WSOP Main Event on WSOP.com.

Goldstein told PokerNews he forgot he was registered for the satellite, which only awarded one seat into poker's most prestigious annual tournament, a $10,000 buy-in event.

Zack Pots River

Niveau 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Daniel Zack was in position in a heads-up pot against William Slaght on a board of {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Slaght checked on the flop and called a bet of 16,000 from Zack. Slaght checked again on the {a-Clubs} turn and Zack checked back.

Slaght led out with a bet of 33,000 on the {k-Spades} river and Zack took a moment before announcing "pot" for a raise to 163,000.

"Good hand," Slaght said before folding what he claimed was {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} with two diamonds.

Hughes Continues Dominant Performance

Niveau 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ryan Hughes
Ryan Hughes

Ryan Hughes, David Benyamine, and Joshua Faris were in a three-way all in on a {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts} board.

David Benyamine: {a-}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Joshua Faris: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Ryan Hughes: {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Hughes would win the high with the nut straight while Benyamine and Faris were quartered, having to chop the nut low.

Hughes, who came into the day as the chip leader, is now flirting with the million-chip mark.

Kessler Breaks the PokerNews Curse

Niveau 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

In the "craziest hand" Allen Kessler has seen today, Sterling Savill opened to 8,000 in early position and Michael Trivett and the button both called. Kessler then three-bet shoved from the big blind and Savill four-bet re-shoved behind him. Trivett also moved all in and the button went in the tank before folding.

Allen Kessler: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Michael Trivett: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Sterling Savill: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to give Kessler a big lead with a king-high flush.

"Who has diamonds?" asked Kessler.

"You do!" someone at the table replied.

The runout of {q-Hearts}{4-Spades} secured the main pot for Kessler for a triple-up, while Savill improved to a pair of fours to win the side pot and eliminate Trivett.
