Allen Chips Up In Three-Way Action

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

"I screwed it up on the flop and shouldn't have flatted," Jason Viriyayuthakorn whispered when all was done and dusted. In a three-way pot there were more than 300,000 in the pot to the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} river on which Viriyayuthakorn checked the river. Sterling Allen moved all-in for 9,000 out of the big blind and Matt Vengrin called, then called the raise to a full bet by Viriyayuthakorn.

Allen tabled the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for trips eights to win the high pot while Viriyayuthakorn's {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} chopped the main pot for the low and won three quarters of the tiny side pot against Vengrin's {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Hellmuth Misses River and Exits

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

PokerNews missed the action, but was given a record of what happened when poker star Phil Hellmuth was put all in on the turn by chip leader Christopher Carney on a board of {4-}{j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-}

"I've got too much committed," Hellmuth admitted as he put the last of his chips in the pot.

On the {8-Spades} river, Carney tabled his {a-}{k-}{j-}{2-} for trip kings causing Hellmuth to flash {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} before sending it into the muck.

Hellmuth then made a quick exit after cashing in 136th place for $2400.

Freedman Sent to the Rail

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Brian Nichols is among the chip leaders and on his table, a three-way all-in saw Wendy Freedman sent to the rail. "I don't have anything," she said as she grabbed the cards and tossed them towards the dealer after being all-in preflop already with a very short stack.

On a board of {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} of Logan Hatch were good enough for the high portion with two pair while Roland Israelashvili claimed the low pot with {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Three Quarters for Hughes Against Figueredo

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Murilo Figueredo raised from the cutoff and was called by Ryan Hughes on the button. On the {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Figueredo check-called a bet and then bet the {5-Clubs} turn before calling the all-in of Hughes for a mere 25,000.

Ryan Hughes: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Murilo Figueredo: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Hughes was already guaranteed three quarters with his nut flush and the same low, which made the {k-Diamonds} river a formality.

Arsht Has "All Of It" But Doesn't Get Paid

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Table short stack David Arsht raised it up from the cutoff and received a single caller in Ronan Nally out of the big blind. Nally opted to check the {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and Arsht bet. A brief tank by Nally followed and he opted to send the cards into the muck. Arsht revealed the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for aces, the nut flush draw and nut low draw to which another player at the table remarked "oh wow, all of it."

Dement Scoops Lynn

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

In a heads-up pot against Jonathan Lynn, it was Ilya Dement who bet the turn and river of a {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} board. Lynn called both times and was shown the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for the top two pair and a low. The cards of Lynn were briefly exposed but {a-}{q-}{q-}{x-} was no good for either portion of the pot as Dyment scooped it all.

Small Bet Takes down Big Pot

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

In a large four-way pot, the board on the river was {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Joey Couden then bet into the 105,000 pot, then watched as each opponent slowly threw their cards into the muck.

"Show it one time," a player at the table asked Coudon, who just smiled as he slid his cards to the dealer, face down.

Four Ways to a Split Pot

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

"There is gonna be a low but I don't know which one yet, we'll sort it out shortly," the dealer announced as a four-way pot emerged with Christopher Lee as the shortest player and all-in on a {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} board.

The {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} of Lee were good enough for a pair of aces and a live-eight low and he received a portion of the low pot as he was up against an opponent with {a-}{j-}{j-}{8-}, Anthony Piazza with the {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} for two pair, and the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} of Mitchell Bailey. No superior low emerged and thus the only ones chipping up slightly were Lee and Bailey.
