Moreno Busted By Lemery

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Adrian Moreno
Adrian Moreno

A player just stopped Pokernews to get the bad news : a previous winner from the tournament has been eliminated.

In 2017, Adrian Moreno won that tournament and $528,316, but this year, his journey was stopped short by Dylan Lemery.

Lemery explained that on a {j-}{10-}{10-}{9-} turn, both players went all in, with Moreno who had 30,000 when they started the hand.

Moreno had a straight with {8-}{7-} while Lemery only had a set with {k-}{10-}. But the {9-} river eventually gave him a full house, and Moreno was eliminated. He only has three and a half hours of effective play left to re-entry this event.

Baldanza Bluffs Into Nuts

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Rami Owera opened to 2,500 from early position. He was called by the hijack and the button before Dave Baldanaza three-bet to 12,600. Owera and the button called.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Baldanza continuation bet for 16,000. Only Owera called.

The {3-Diamonds} was the turn and Baldanza threw in a single 25,000 chip. Owera called.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Baldanaza went all in for 83,900 effective. Owera said "If you got it you got it" and called. Baldanza turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for ace high while Owera showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the king-high flush to win a huge pot.

Valdes Into The Big Stacks

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was caught on a {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop with Catherine Valdes betting 15,000. She was raised by Simone Maglianella who made it to 44,000, and without many hesitations, she called.

No action happened on a {5-Spades} turn and both players also quickly checked the {10-Diamonds} river.

Valdes showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and it was the winning hand, Maglianella just mucked and the American took the pot.
