Half an Orbit With William Kassouf

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Will Kassouf
Will Kassouf

Hand 1: William Kassouf was in early position and decided to fold.

Hand 2: Kassouf raised to 20,000 from under the gun and was called by Noel Jaber and Ashok Kamani in the blinds. The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Kassouf continuation bet for 35,000. Both players folded.

Hand 3: Kassouf was in the big blind and action folded to Jaber on the button who made it 23,000. Kamani shoved for 176,000. Kassouf said "I'll let you guys battle" and folded. Jaber called.

Ashok Kamani: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Noel Jaber: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The board the ran {q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs} giving Kamani the double.

Hand 4: Jaber opened the cutoff to 22,000 and Kassouf folded in the small blind and asked Jaber if he was tilted. Everyone folded and Kassouf said "Show the bluff".

Hand 5: Jaber opened from the hijack to 16,000. Kassouf folded on the button before fellow Brit Johnny Kelly three-bet all in for around 80,000. Jaber sighed and called.

Johnny Kelly: {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Noel Jaber: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts} giving Kelly a full house.

Kassouf said to Kelly "Nice to win when you're ahead"; Kelly was not ahead.

Moshe Sends One Out

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Asi Moshe
Asi Moshe

Noel Jaber shoved under the gun for his last 87,000 and it folded around to Asi Moshe in the big blind, who called.

Noel Jaber: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Asi Moshe: {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}

It was a fair fight headed into the {2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop as Moshe paired his ten to take the lead. The turn paired Jaber with the {9-Hearts} but the river {k-Diamonds} sealed the pot for Moshe and eliminated Jaber.

Moshe, the four-time WSOP bracelet winner, is now above chip average.

Alshurieki Gets There to Double

Niveau 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Joining the action on the turn in a blind versus blind battle Sam Alshurieki had moved all-in from the big blind when checked to for around 100,000 into the approximately 150,000 pot. The board was {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

His opponent went into the tank before calling in the small blind.

Sam Alshurieki: {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Alshurieki was behind as his opponent had two pair. However, Alshurieki did have plenty of outs as he had a flush draw and a gutshot. An eight would also give him the double.

The river came the {7-Diamonds}. Alshurieki hit the table with delight as he had secured a double-up to remain in the tournament. Alshurieki's biggest cash to date came in this event six years ago for $76,351.
