Mohammed Jaafar
Mohammed Jaafar

Mike Allis opened from under the gun for 1,800,000 and Mohammed Jaafar shoved all in for 10,300,000.

Allis said, "Well, it's a loose call but I call," as he turned over his cards.

Mohammed Jaafar: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Mike Allis: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Despite Allis' "loose call" he was ahead going to the flop, which came {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} to put Jaafar way out in front.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} to give Jaafar trip aces.

The {10-Clubs} completed the board and Jaafar tripled up to 22,600,000.

Haim Or Krief
Haim Or Krief

There have been a number of memorable hands during this year's World Series of Poker Main Event. You can add a three-way all in cooler that ended in a bad beat during Tuesday's Day 6 action to the list.

With 86 players out of the original 8,663 left in poker's world championship event, and the blinds at 50,000/100,000, three players picked up premium pocket pairs. Two of those players were nursing stacks of around the 20-big blind mark and were looking for a big hand to double up to have an opportunity to make a run at the final table.

Boris Akopov
Boris Akopov

There was well over 12,000,000 in the pot on a {j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} board and Boris Akopov fired 8,000,000 into Niklas Warlich, who had a little less than 14 million behind.

Warlich went into the tank for well over a minute before finally folding and asking Akopov to show the bluff. Akopov did not show.

With that pot, Akopov is now well over the 30 million-chip mark.

Riess Wins Showdown with Gollins with Pocket Aces

Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess opened for 1,225,000 from under the gun and Christina Gollins called from the cutoff.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and both players tapped the table.

The turn brought the {9-Spades} and Riess put out a bet of 1,200,000. Gollins called.

On the {2-Diamonds} river, Riess deliberated before firing for 2,900,000 and Gollins snap-called.

Riess turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} much to the shock of Gollins, who thought she was trapping Riess with pocket jacks.
