Jonathan Abdellatif

At Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth's table, Jonathan Abdellatif was involved in an all in preflop with two opponents, with his 25,000 stack at risk. He was the short stack with starting stack.

Jonathan Abdellatif: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Opponent 1: {q-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Abdellatif had the best of it preflop and held on the {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board to triple up.

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz moved all in for 41,000 on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and was called by Jason Stockfish on the button and a player in middle position with just less.

The board ran out {5-Spades} and {a-Clubs}. Katz rolled over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for flopped set and improved to river set. His opponent had {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for flopped middle-set and Stockfish mucked his hand.

Katz tripled up and eliminated an opponent, gaining himself a bounty chip.

Level 11 of the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event was unkind to 888poker ambassador Sam Abernathy, who lost a brutal bad beat to exit poker's world championship event.

During the first level of Day 3, with around 110,000 in chips and the blinds at 1,000/2,500, Abernathy picked up {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} and was poised to earn a valuable double-up, perhaps putting her in position to make a run at the money, and then potentially deeper as the tournament progressed. But her opponent, Mike Gao, also had {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, so a chop pot seemed inevitable.

In a pot of nearly 65,000 on a board of {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}, the small blind bet 15,000 and Livingston raised to 85,000, covering the stack of his opponent.

The small blind took several minutes deliberating on what to do. He eventually mucked his hand and another pot was shipped to the Canadian.
