Lander Lijo opened for 200,000 from under the gun and Sean Perry called from early position. It folded around to Fedor Holz, who called from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and it checked around to Perry who bet 250,000. Holz folded and Lijo called.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, Perry continued firing for 300,000. Lijo called once more.

The river brought the {q-Clubs} and after using a time bank chip, Lijo lead for 625,000. Perry considered and made the call.

Lijo showed the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for the nut flush and extended his chip lead.

Vieira Ramps Up Aggression

Niveau 18 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Brian Rast opened to 200,000 from early position and was called by Joao Vieira in middle position as well as Sean Perry in the big blind.

Perry checked on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Rast continued for 250,000. Vieira made the call while Perry folded to setup heads-up action heading to the turn.

Action checked through the {2-Hearts} turn to the {q-Clubs} river where Rast led out for 750,000. Vieira burned through several time banks before choosing to raise to 2,350,000. Rast wasted little time in folding to send more chips Vieira's way.

Stephen Chidwick shoved from the cutoff for his last 355,000 and Sean Perry re-shoved from the button. The blinds folded.

Stephen Chidwick: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Sean Perry: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Chidwick was way behind and didn't improve on the {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, though he picked up a backdoor flush draw and a backdoor straight draw in the process.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, eliminating both of his draws.

The river was the {k-Spades} and Chidwick had to settle for eighth place.

Schedule Change

Niveau 18 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Originally, the schedule for today was to play down to five players. However, after some discussion, the tournament director has announced that play will instead continue for at least 12 levels with the option of continuing until a winner is crowned.

Alexandros Theologis opened to 220,000 from early position and was three-bet to 650,000 by Brian Rast in the cutoff. Action folded back to Theologis who moved all in. Rast snapped it off with the bigger stack to put Theologis at risk.

Alexandros Theologis: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Brian Rast: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Theologis was racing to survive but faced long odds after the {5-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop. The {a-Clubs} turn left him drawing to two outs but he was unable to find any help on the {7-Diamonds} river, ending his tournament run in 9th place.
