Koon Takes Down Multiway Pot

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon raised to 2,200 under the gun and was called by the cutoff, Pedro Mendoza on the button and the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and the action checked to Mendoza who fired out a bet of 7,000. Only Koon made the call.

The {8-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Koon checked to Mendoza before he checked back.

The {j-Spades} landed on the river and this time Koon led out for 17,000. Mendoza thought it over for a short period of time and pitched his cards into the middle.

Comeskey Ousted With Cracked Aces

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Caitlin Comesky
Caitlin Comesky

Caitlin Comeskey had gotten her remaining stack in from early position and was at risk against Andrew Conway in the cutoff.

Caitlin Comeskey: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Andrew Conway: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Comeskey was in good shape with the superior pocket pair, but the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop put her well behind, while another player at the table mentioned they folded a jack. The {8-Diamonds} turn left Comeskey needing one of two aces, but the {5-Clubs} completed the board to end her Main Event in brutal fashion.

Heiskanen Calls Rabichow With Ace-High, Then Fills Up to Double

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Heiskanen raised to 2,400 from early position as Kevin Rabichow and a player in middle position called.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and action checked to Rabichow, who bet 2,500. Only Heiskanen called to the {8-Hearts} turn, when he check-called another bet of 4,000.

The river came the {7-Spades} and both players checked, with Heiskanen showing {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} to win the pot.

Heiskanen was still stacking his chips from that pot when he raised to 2,000 the next hand. The player to his left reraised to 4,500, Rabichow called, and Heiskanen stuck around to see the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop.

The original raiser continued for 6,000 and both opponents called. He put another 16,000 on the {2-Spades} turn, getting rid of Rabichow.

Heiskanen, though, moved all in for 47,400.

"Please don't tell me you have queens," Heiskanen's opponent said before calling with {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Heiskanen did indeed turn over {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for a full house.

The river came the {6-Diamonds} and Heiskanen doubled up.

Benny Glaser is also at this table, sitting directly beside Rabichow.

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Frank Stepuchin
Frank Stepuchin

Frank Stepuchin is currently sitting with a stack of four empty beer cups beside his chips at just 2 p.m. here in Las Vegas. He also raised to 2,100 from under the gun and Michael Miller three-bet to 6,500 from the hijack. The action folded back to Stepuchin who called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} and both players checked to the {7-Clubs} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river. Stepuchin finally led out with a bet of 12,500 and Miller quickly called. Stepuchin showed {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} for just queen-high while Miller turned over {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines.

Nakamura Turns Flush to Crack Trips

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 13,000 in the pot and the board reading {2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}, Jaret Villarreal fired a bet of 5,100 from the big blind. Tamon Nakamura called from the button.

On the {6-Spades} river, Villarreal put in 11,000 and was snapped off.

Villarreal showed {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} but his trips were no match for Nakamura's {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flush.

Mendenhall Picks Up Aces to Double

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Brandon "Dutch" Mendenhall was on the button facing a reraise to 17,400 from a player in middle position. Mendenhall shoved for around 105,000, sending his opponent into the tank for several minutes before he called.

Dutch Mendenhall: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Mendenhall's opponent made a pair of kings on the {2-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Spades} flop but improved no further as the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, sending the massive pot to Mendenhall.

Truong Finds A Call

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Phong Truong
Phong Truong

Phong Truong opened to 2,200 from early position and was called by a player in middle position as well as the big blind.

Action checked through the {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop to the {10-Spades} turn where the big blind and Truong again checked. The middle position player fired off 4,300, eliciting a fold from the big blind while receiving a call from Truong.

Truong checked for a third time following the {6-Spades} river but his opponent did not slow down, pushing 12,300 into the middle. That bet sent Truong into the tank with a four liner to a straight on the board. Eventually he did find the call and turned over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for top set, good enough to take down the pot.

Dohnke Takes Some from Antonius

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Patrik Antonius limped the small blind and William Dohnke checked his option.

The dealer spread a flop of {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Antonius check-called a bet of 1,500.

The {q-Spades} turn was checked through to see the {5-Hearts} river. Antonius check-called a bet of 4,500 and Dohnke tabled {9-Spades}{5-Spades} for trip fives. Antonius showed the {3-Hearts} before mucking his hand.
