Boat for Aido

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

With roughly 70,000 in the pot on a {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} completed board, Sergio Aido bet 55,000, and Josh Pollock took some time to deliberate. Pollock checked his cards again, looked at his opponent and the board, and ultimately, put in the calling chips.

Aido tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a flopped set which became a boat, and the Spaniard collected the pot.

Wilke Gets a Call from Moraes

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Dennis Wilke opened to 4,000 under the gun and Rafael Moraes three-bet to 13,500 next to him. It came back to Wilke who called.

The flop fanned {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Wilke check-called Moraes for 9,000.

Both opted to check on the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {7-Spades} paired the board on the river. Wilke bet 15,000, which Moraes quickly called. Wilke showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Moraes tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for two pair to claim the pot.

Wien Goes Boat-Over-Boat to Hit 500,000

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jeremy Wien
Jeremy Wien

Jeremy Wien opened to 5,000 from the cutoff and the big blind called.

The flop came {k-}{10-}{10-} and both players tapped the table.

The turn was a {3-} and the big blind bet for 6,000. Wien raised to 16,000 and the big blind called.

On the {7-} river, the big blind checked and Wien put out a bet of 35,000. The big blind went into the tank and eventually raised to 75,000. Wien then put his opponent all in for roughly 100,000 more and the big blind snapped it off.

The big blind turned over {3-}{3-} for a full house but it wasn't enough as Wien tabled {k-}{k-} for a better boat to take himself to a half-million and eliminate the big blind.

Double Up for Burkhart

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jacqueline Burkhart
Jacqueline Burkhart

Steven Stolzenfeld opened to 4,500 under the gun and Jacqueline Burkhart shoved for her last 20,000. It came back to Stolzenfeld who asked Burkhart if she prefered a call or a fold. "It's up to you, both are fine to me!" replied Bukhart. Stolzenfeld opted to call for the following shopwdown:

Jacqueline Burkhart: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Steven Stolzenfeld: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

Burkhart had to win the flip for her tournament's life, which she did after the board showed {6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}, improving her hand into a full house.

"It's a birthday boat!" celebrated Burkhart before racking up the pot.

Eolis Gets It In Good; Can't Fade the Suckout

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Wendeen Eolis
Wendeen Eolis

Wendeen Eolis, in the cutoff, was facing a preflop raise to 16,000 by Zack Brassfield in the big blind.

She took her time before moving all in for about 81,000 and Brassfield called.

Wendeen Eolis: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Zack Brassfield: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Eolis was way in front with her cowboys, but the {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop gave Brassfield the lead. The turn {5-Clubs} and river {q-Clubs} were not what she needed and she said some kind words to the table before exiting.

Eolis is famously the first woman to ever cash in the Main Event back in 1986 with a 25th place finish. Though she exits here on Day 2, she more than proved that she's still got it.

You can read a featured article about her here.
