Smiljkovic Cranks Up The Heat

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player in early position opened to 4,500 and was called by the button and Daniel Smiljkovic out of the big blind.

Smiljkovic checked on the {2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop and the early position player continued for 6,500. The button folded while Smiljkovic raised to 20,000. The early position player made the call to send the two players to the turn.

The {8-Spades} turn saw Smiljkovic check and his opponent throw out 30,000. Smiljkovic, as on the flop, responded with a raise, this time enough to force the early position player all in. That sent his opponent into the tank for quite some time. Eventually he did find a fold to send a large pot the German pro's way.

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Mateus Carrion De Moraes raised under the gun to 3,000 and a player called in middle position before Shijia Liu three-bet to 13,000. Moraes four-bet to 30,000, forcing the middle position out and Liu called.

On the {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, Moraes checked to Liu who put in a bet of 20,000 and Moraes called.

When the {5-Clubs} hit the turn Moraes checked once again to Liu who fired a bet of 42,000 which was enough was enough for Moraes to give up the pot.

Four-Way Pot for Kniep

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Scott Smile started the action under the gun by raising to 4,500 and picked up calls from Andreas Kniep, the hijack and the button players to create a four-way pot.

The flop fanned {7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Smile continued for 5,500, called again by Kniep and the hijack while the button folded. When the {8-Diamonds} showed up on the turn, Smile checked to Kniep who sent 15,000. After some thinking, both the hijack and Smile let it go.

"Finally I'm winning a hand" said Kniep jokingly to the table.

Kapalas Picks Off a Bluff

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

In a blind-on-blind confrontation, Cyril Henneveux bet 7,000 on a flop of {2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Georgios Kapalas called.

The turn came the {q-Diamonds} and Henneveux continued for 13,500. Kapalas once again called to see the {a-Hearts} on the river, when Henneveux moved all in.

Kapalas, with 45,000 remaining, tanked for about a minute before calling. Henneveux went to muck but was forced to show {10-Spades}{6-Spades} for a missed draw. Kapalas turned over {5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a straight to double up.

Mothes Doubles Through Hallaert

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

All the chips went in the middle preflop between Kenny Hallaert and Pierre Mothes, at risk for a stack worth 44,000:

Pierre Mothes: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Kenny Hallaert: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

It was a typical flip situation and the flop brought {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts}, giving top pair to Hallert and a set of tens to Mothes, who took down the pot and the double up after the board was completed by the {7-Spades} and the {9-Diamonds}.

Linde Gives It Up

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Dylan Linde opened to 3,500 from late position and received a single call out of the small blind.

Action checked through the {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop to the {10-Clubs} turn where the small blind led out for 3,000. That was enough to get Linde off his hand, though he is still sitting comfortable on a large stack.
