The pot was already around 14,200 with the board having run out {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Joffrey Lhote, in the big blind, bet 8,200 into Jessica Teusl.

Teusl, who recently won her first bracelet in the Ladies event, pondered for over 90 seconds before finally tossing her hand into the muck.

Teusl will have to spin it up here on Day 2d as she is now down to just 14,200 chips.

Roller Coaster Board for Sajwan

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jaideep Sajwan, who told to his table when the day started that he wouldn't play a single hand in the first hour, opened in the cutoff to 1,800 right when the clock showed 59 minutes left on the level.

The button three-bet to 5,500 and it folded back to Sajwan who four-bet to 15,000. His opponent went deep into the tank and announced all in, which Sajwan snap-called for a total stack worth 75,800:

Jaideep Sajwan: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Button: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Sajwan seemed in great shape for the double up but the flop fanned {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts}, giving a set to his opponent. The {j-Hearts} turn didn't change anything but a miracle {a-Spades} showed up on the river for Sajwan to give him a set of aces and the needed double up.

Milgrom Applies Pressure

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The action was picked up in a pot of roughly 6,000 on a board showing {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Hrayr Grigoryan checked from the small blind and Terricita Milgrom bet 2,000. Grigoryan check-raised to 8,500 and Milgrom made the call.

The river came the {10-Diamonds} and Grigoryan sized to 16,000. Milgrom put some thought in before raising to 30,000, which the table spoke up saying it must be 32,000 which Milgrom did. Grigoryan took little time before tossing his cards in the muck and the pot was shipped to Milgrom.

Bott Busts Dennehey

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Preflop action had Ian Bott raising to 2,000 and John Dennehey in the small blind pushing all in for 10,900. Big blind, Julian Milliard-Feral called and Bott shoved all in over top for around 65,000, causing Milliard-Feral to fold.

John Dennehey: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Ian Bott: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The board came down {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades} and with the king on the turn giving Bott a pair, Dennehy's fate in the tournament was sealed and he was sent to the rail halfway through the first level of the day.

Spragg Gets a Rocket Boost

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

David Kluchman had moved his short stack of 8,900 all in from early position. Ying Wang called in the small blind, Marle Spragg was in the big blind and shoved her larger stack of about 22,000 into the middle. Weng went into the tank to consider it.

Wang and Kluchman had some back and forth about their holdings, despite Spragg being still being very much involved in the hand. Eventually, Wang folded.

Spragg had Kulchman crushed as she had the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} while Kluchman had the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}. The turn was the {10-Clubs} to give Kluchman some hope for a jack but the river was the {10-Diamonds} and Spragg gathered the pot to boost to her stack.

Calamusa Steals One on the River

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Three players headed to a flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades} and the action checked to Pierre Calamusa in the hijack who bet 1,400. The big blind called and Jens Lakemeier check-raised to 8,500. Calamusa called and the big blind got out of the way.

The turn brought the {10-Clubs} which slowed the action as both players checked to the {3-Spades} on the river. Lakemeier checked again and Calamusa tossed in a bet of 13,000. Lakemeier gave it some thought but decided to lay his hand down.

Denghel Uses Kicker to Double

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action began on the turn as Daniel Denghel had moved all in to put his tournament life at risk. The board was {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

There was about 20,000 in the pot and Denghel has shoved for 21,700. His only opponent in the hand, Oliver Said, made the call after some thought.

Daniel Denghel: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Oliver Said: {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Denghel needed to avoid an eight to stay alive, and he did so when the {3-Clubs} hit the river.

Minetti Takes from Shen

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a head pot with around 10,000 already in the middle, the flop read {3}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} when Roland Shen, in the cutoff, check-called a bet worth 5,000 from Michael Minetti on the button.

The {4-Diamonds} turn brought no betting action and a {7-Hearts} came on the river. Shen checked one last time and faced a bet of 15,000 from Minetti. Shen thought about it for a few minutes before letting it go.

Ziegler Makes a Monster Hand for Piles

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action began in this hand when it limped around to Jorge Gallardo in the small blind, who raised to 5,400. It then folded around to Tobias Ziegler in late position who then three-bet to 12,000. Gallardo made the call and the two were now heads-up.

The flop was {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Gallardo checked to Ziegler, who then bet 5,000; Gallardo called.

On the turn {7-Diamonds}, fireworks began, as Gallardo once again checked to Ziegler, who then bet 15,000. Gallardo then check-raised to 120,000, which put Ziegler all-in

Ziegler immediately called, and after confirming it was for less, the cards were tabled, with Ziegler at risk.

Tobias Ziegler: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Jorge Gallardo: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Zeigler did not have anything to fear, however, as Gallardo was drawing dead. The board completed with the {a-Spades} and Ziegler scored a huge double up.

"The cards just play themselves don't they?" A player at the table asked Ziegler.

"No that was all skill. He got me to put all the money in," Gallardo responded for him as he tapped the table in respect.
