Kim Busts Funaro

Niveau 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Frank Funaro
Frank Funaro

Brian Kim raised to 525,000 from middle position and Matthew Shepsky three-bet to 1,600,000 from the small blind. Frank Funaro committed his last 1,280,000 from the big blind and Kim called. Action was three ways and Funaro was at risk.

The flop was {9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and both remaining players checked to see {j-Hearts} on the turn. Shepsky checked again and ducked out of the way when Kim bet 1,130,000.

Frank Funaro: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Brian Kim: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}

Kim was ahead and it stayed that way when {4-Hearts} fell on the river to eliminate Funaro from the Main Event with aces and jacks.

Vadim Rozin
Vadim Rozin

GGPoker qualifier Vadim Rozin opened to 550,000 on the button and Asher Conniff moved all in from the small blind. Rozin called for his stack of 6,100,000.

Vadim Rozin: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Asher Conniff: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop improved Rozin to top set, and although the {7-Hearts} turn gave Conniff a gutshot draw, the {7-Spades} completed the board to confirm Rozin's double.

Levine's Chips Go Up in a Blaze

Niveau 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
David Levine
David Levine

Matthew Su opened to 500,000 in the hijack and Cameron Blazevich three-bet shoved all in for 6,650,000 in the cutoff. David Levine asked for a count from the small blind and realized that Blazevich had him covered. After realizing that there was no immediate pay jump, Levine stuck in the last of his 6,425,000 chips. Su folded and the two hands were tabled.

David Levine: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Cameron Blazevich: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Levine was going to need to get lucky in order to stay alive. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and the {10-Diamonds} on the river provided no relief and Levine was eliminated.

Reed's Run Ends Against Kunze

Niveau 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Robert Reed
Robert Reed

Antoine Labat made it 500,000 to go in the cutoff and Tom Kunze three-bet to 1,400,000 on the button. Robert Reed then jammed for 1,700,000 in the small blind and Labat asked for an exact count before he folded while Kunze beat his table neighbour in the pot thereafter.

Robert Reed: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Tom Kunze: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

"We need a lot of nines," Reed said to his rail but there was no help at all on the {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} runout. Kunze claimed the stack of his table neighbour with aces full and Reed had to settle for 42nd place.

Jacob Meeks
Jacob Meeks

Adrian Attenborough opened to 525,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Jacob Meeks in the big blind, who moved all in. Attenborough snapped it off with the bigger stack to put Meeks at risk.

Jacob Meeks: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Adrian Attenborough: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Meeks was in dire straits and could find no help on the {7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop. The {j-Diamonds} turn wrapped up matters prior to the {3-Spades} river as Meeks graciously exited the tournament area to collect his payout.

Niveau 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Mack Khan shoved all in for 4,400,000 in middle position and Mayank Madan asked for a count from the small blind. He went into the tank for a couple of minutes but ultimately decided to lay his hand down.

On the next hand, Madan opened to 525,000 on the button and Cameron Blazevich three-bet to 2,000,000 from the big blind. Madan called and the dealer spread the flop of {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Blazevich led out with a bet of 2,000,000 and Madan quickly mucked his cards.

Jorstad 1, Argentina 0

Niveau 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Damian Salas raised to 525,000 from under the gun and received calls from Alejandro Lococo and Espen Jorstad in the blinds.

All three players checked the {2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop before Jorstad bet 1,250,000 on the {j-Hearts} turn. Salas got out of the way, but Lococo stuck around to see the {k-Hearts} on the river.

Lococo checked over to Jorstad once more, and the bracelet winner stuck in a bet of 2,475,000. Lococo leaned forward and took out his earbuds to get a good look at the board as he tanked for about a minute before calling.

Jorstad turned over {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a flopped set and Lococo mucked.

Attenborough Wins Healthy Pot Against Jeckeln

Niveau 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Adrian Attenborough
Adrian Attenborough

Andres Jeckeln opened the action with a raise to 525,000 out of the hijack and Adrian Attenborough defended the big blind. On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Attenborough check-raised from 450,000 to 1,350,000 and Jeckeln called.

The {a-Clubs} turn brought a bet worth 1,500,000 by Attenborough and the call by the Argentinian. Another bet and call for 3,050,000 followed on the {9-Hearts} river and Attenborough tabled the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a flush, taking a big chunk out of Jeckeln's stack who exposed the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for trips aces.

Tom Kunze then opened to 525,000 and Kamal Bittar three-bet to 1,625,000 on the button for Kunze to call. The {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop was checked by Kunze and Bittar bet 2,100,000 to win the pot right there.
