Jeckeln Scores Big Double Through Hobbs

Niveau 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Andres Jeckeln
Andres Jeckeln

In a three-bet pot to the {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop with some 3,500,000 in the middle, James Hobbs checked from under the gun and took fewer than ten seconds before calling the shove by Andres Jeckeln for 5,775,000 when they got it in for a very large pot.

Andres Jeckeln: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
James Hobbs: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {j-Hearts} turn was a narrow miss or Hobbs and he didn't connect with the {2-Diamonds} river either to lose a big portion of his stack.

One hand later, David Levine raised to 2,500,000 out the small blind and Hobbs called all-in for 1,725,000 in the big blind.

James Hobbs: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
David Levine: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The kicker played on the {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board and Hobbs stuck around albeit with a much shorter stack than he had in the break.

Smith Sent to Rail by Souki

Niveau 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
William Smith
William Smith

Philippe Souki opened to 425,000 in middle position and William Smith moved all in for approximately 2,200,000 in the hijack. Action folded back to Souki who called.

William Smith: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Philippe Souki: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Smith was pipped as the {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop paired both players. The {8-Diamonds} turn left Smith needing a ten to survive, but the {3-Clubs} completed the board and he made his way to the payout desk.

Litsou Doubles Through Li Blind

Niveau 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Efthymia Litsou
Efthymia Litsou

Victor Li raised to 400,000 from early position without looking at his cards and Efthymia Litsou called in the big blind, also without looking.

Both players checked dark on the {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop before the turn came the {2-Clubs}. Litsou bet out 3,000,000.

"What did I get myself into," Li said before finally looking at his cards and shoving all in. Litsou quickly called for 5,600,000 and showed {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush.

Li had {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} as the river came the {a-Clubs}, taking another look at the board to make sure he didn't get a straight flush.

Litsou later admitted she had, in fact, looked at her hand. "You lied to me," Li said before handing over the chips.

"That was the most bizarre hand I've ever played," Litsou said.

Shepsky Doubles Through Mermelstein

Niveau 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Haim Or Krief raised to 400,000 from middle position and Matthew Shepsky called from the button before Aaron Mermelstein came along from the big blind.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Mermelstein checked. Or Krief bet 650,000 and Shepsky called before Mermelstein raised to 2,555,000.

Or Krief folded and Shepsky moved in for 4,600,000. Mermelstein called and the cards were turned up.

Matthew Shepsky: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Aaron Mermelstein: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The turn was {5-Diamonds} and Mermelstein stayed ahead, but the river was {8-Clubs} and Shepsky caught the flush to secure the double.

Funaro Doubles Through Turner

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Frank Funaro
Frank Funaro

In the first hand after coming back from the break, Frank Funaro was in the big blind and called all-in for 1,075,000 when George Turner jammed out of the small blind.

Frank Funaro: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
George Turner: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Funaro asked for a king-ten flop to provide classic Hollywood material and one of his cards appeared on the {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} flop. The {q-Hearts} turn kept things spicy but the {3-Diamonds} river was no threat and Funaro celebrated the double with his rail.

Levy Busts Jung in Massive Pot That Extends Into Break

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Tzur Levy
Tzur Levy

The remainder of the field had already gone on break while Tzur Levy had a raise to 1,500,000 in front of him while Seungmook Jung shoved for 7,450,000.

Levy went into the tank for several minutes into the break as a large crowd gathered around the rail to watch. He eventually called with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, while Jung showed {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and ran over to his supporters to await the flop.

He got the bad news when the dealer turned over {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, giving Levy top set. The board ran out {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Levy won the pot and busted Jung, who took the bad beat well and gave Levy a fist pump before heading for the payout desk.
