Su Jams Into Rebei

Niveau 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Tzur Levy raised to 1,000,000 and was called by Karim Rebei in the hijack with the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} as well as Matthew Su in the small blind, who held the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop was checked all the way and the {4-Hearts} followed on the turn. Su now bet 1,400,000 and that forced out Levy, while Rebei almost instantly raised it up to 3,300,000.

Su came along to see the {k-Hearts} on the river on which Su checked and Rebei made it just 800,000 to go. What followed was the check-shove by Su for 13,100,000 in total with his quads and Rebei asked for a count.

Two minutes and fifty nine seconds in the tank ended with a fold by Rebei, who slipped further down in the chip count but remained the biggest stack at the table.

Tran Evades Elimination

Niveau 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Kenny Tran
Kenny Tran

Aaron Mermelstein opened to 1,000,000 from under the gun and was called by Vadim Rozin in middle position. Kenny Tran then moved all in for 14,000,000 out of the small blind. Mermelstein raised to 22,500,000 which convinced Rozin to get out of the way and Tran was officially at risk.

Kenny Tran: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Aaron Mermelstein: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Tran was in dire straits with his tournament life on the line. No real help came on the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop but he did pick up flush outs on the {k-Clubs} turn. The {a-Clubs} river completed a miraculous comeback with Tran emitting a fist pump as he retook his seat,

Welch Getting Short

Niveau 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Philippe Souki raised to 1,100,000 in early position and was called by Robert Welch in the big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Welch check-called a bet of 900,000 from Souki.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Welch checked again. Souki sized up a bet of 2,600,000 this time and that was enough to get Welch out of the pot.

On the next hand, Jeffrey Farnes raised to 1,100,000 in the cutoff and Welch called from the small blind. The flop fell {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Welch check-called a bet of 650,000 from Farnes.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Welch led out with a bet of 1,400,000. Farnes raised to 3,500,000 and Welch was forced to send his cards to the muck once again.

Rebei Loses Another Pot as Su's Rise Continues

Niveau 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Matthew Su
Matthew Su

Matthew Su raised to 1,000,000 and Karim Rebei then three-bet to 2,700,000 on the button, which got the blinds out of the way. However, Su stuck around and the {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop followed thereafter. Both quickly checked to the {k-Clubs} on the turn and Su checked again within six seconds.

Rebei now fired a bet worth 2,500,000 and Su made the call, which led them to {a-Spades} on the river. Both players checked and Su's {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the busted nut flush draw and rivered aces up won the pot, putting a dent into Rebei's stack.

Attenborough Goes For It All

Niveau 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Matija Dobric opened to 1,000,000 on the button and was called by Adrian Attenborough out of the big blind.

Attenborough checked on a flop of {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs} and then raised to 2,700,000 after Dobric continued for 500,000. Dobric decided to call to send the players to the turn.

The turn came {7-Hearts} and Attenborough continued his aggression with a bet of 7,300,000. It was not enough to shed Dobric, who again called.

Attenborough did not wait for long before moving all in on the {8-Clubs} river and Dobric snap folded to take a hit to his still big stack while sending a large pot towards Attenborough.

Levy Gets Chips Up in Three-Way Pot

Niveau 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Tzur Levy min-raised to 1,000,000 in the hijack with the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and that was met with calls by Karim Rebei in the cutoff with the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, John Eames on the button with the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Matthew Su in the big blind who held the {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

All four players checked the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop and the {2-Diamonds} turn brought another diamond. Su checked and Levy bet 1,400,000, earning a call from Rebei and Su. The {4-Hearts} river completed the board and Su quickly checked once more.

Rebei checked it back and Su flashed his busted nut flush draw. That was no good, as Rebei's set won the pot.

Diaz Sends Farnes into the Tank

Niveau 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Jeffrey Farnes
Jeffrey Farnes

Jeffrey Farnes raised from the hijack and was called by both David Diaz in the cutoff and Espen Jorstad in the small blind.

The trio checked the {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop, but on the {9-Spades} turn, after Jorstad checked, Farnes bet 1,300,000. Diaz called and Jorstad folded.

The river brought the {j-Spades} and Farnes checked to Diaz, who quickly put out a bet of 5,000,000.

This sent Farnes deep into the tank for almost five minutes as he cut out several different amounts of chips and riffled them as he pondered his decision.

Ultimately, with some frustration, he chose to fold and send the pot to Diaz.
