2023 WSOP Gold Bracelet
2023 WSOP Gold Bracelet

Another exciting tournament in the 2023 World Series of Poker is set to begin today at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas with Event #18: $300 Gladiators of Poker.

This event is a new addition to the WSOP schedule, so one lucky player will get to call themselves the inaugural champion by the end.

With a staggering $3,000,000 guaranteed prize pool for this event, the field is expected to be absolutely massive over its four starting flights, with projections upwards of 15,000 entries.

Cards will be in the air at 10 a.m. local time and players begin Day 1a with 30,000 chips. Blinds start at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante and levels for all opening flights are 30 minutes, with a 20-minute break at the conclusion of every 4 levels. A 75-minute dinner break is also on the schedule after level 15 and is expected to be around 6:30 p.m. The day consists of 22 levels of play, or until 15% of the field remains, whichever is later, (payouts will start on Day 1) and late registration closes after Level 11 (around 4:30 p.m.).

Three more starting flights will follow the same format on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with all survivors returning for Day 2 on Sunday, June 11th, at 10 a.m., followed by Day 3 on Monday, June 12th. Players are limited to two reentries per flight, but that means a true gladiator can potentially enter the arena up to twelve times over the course of this event.

Be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews for full coverage of this inaugural event as we begin the road to the crowning of another champion at the 2023 World Series Of Poker.

Ramirez Forces Fold from Trujillo

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Action was picked up on a multi-way flop of 7JK. There was around 2,000 in the middle when Tim Trujillo bet out 800 from under the gun. Only Anibal Ramirez made the call from the cutoff while the two other players got out of the way.

The turn came the 9 and Trujillo announced the same bet of 800, to which Ramirez responded with a raise to 2,800 and put the action back on Trujillo.

Trujillo thought about it for a moment before he decided to make the call and the two players went to the river 3. Trujillo checked it over to Ramirez, who then placed out a bet of 5,600. Trujillo promptly folded to award the pot to his opponent.
