Welcome to Day 2 of Event #22: $10,000 Limit Hold’em Championship here at 2023 World Series of Poker at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Of the 46 players who bagged and tagged last night, Nozomu Shimizu will enter today as the front-runner after amassing 334,000 in chips. Not far behind him is Kevin Song (322,000) and rounding out the top three is 2021 Main Event Champion Koray Aldemir, who will bring 266,000 to battle with on the felt.
Several other bracelet winners are also in contention, including but not limited to Andrew Kelsall (99,000), Dan Zack (111,000), Daniel Idema (135,000), Chris Vitch (154,000) 2015 Main Event Winner Joe McKeehen (194,000), and Shaun Deeb (122,000) — who is arguably the most accomplished WSOP player remaining, having five gold bracelets to his name in addition to being WSOP Player of The Year in 2018.
With late registration still open until the start of Day 2, we expect to see a handful of other notables enter and take their chances at running up a stack.

Cards will be in the air at 1 p.m. PDT, at which time late registration will close. Play will resume on Level 11, which features 2,000/4,000 blinds and 4,000/8,000 limits. Levels will last 90 minutes throughout the day and play will continue for seven levels in total. Players will get a 10-minute break after each level and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 14.
