Foxen Knocks out Defending Champion to Surpass Two Million

Niveau 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Action was picked up on the flop with the board reading 8A46. Foxen was out of position and facing a 150,000 bet from defending champion of this event Jake Schindler. Foxen made the call creating a pot of roughly 450,000 going into the river.

Foxen checked the 3 river and Schindler moved all in for his remaining chips. Foxen instantly made the call to put Schindler at risk.

Jake Schindler: AQ
Alex Foxen: 86

Schindler had flopped top pair but Foxen had turned two pair for the winner and took down a massive pot while eliminating last year's winner of this event.

Koray Aldemir was all in on the button for 147,000 and was called by [Removed:564] in the big blind with the bigger stack.

Koray Aldemir: KQ
[Removed:564]: A4

The flop came 7QA for both of them to hit a pair but for [Removed:565] to stay ahead with top pair.

The 2 on the turn and the 10 on the river didn't change anything for the 2021 Main Event champion to hit the rail.

Bonomo Puts Kim to the Test

Niveau 9 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Justin Bonomo opened to 30,000 from middle position and Brian Kim made the call from the big blind.

Kim check-called a 30,000 bet from Bonomo on the A58 flop.

The turn came the 2 and Kim checked again. This time Bonomo fired for 175,000, slightly more than what was in the pot. Kim made the call.

The river came the 7 and Bonomo used one time extension chip before pushing forward a full rack of red 5,000 chips and a stack of green 25,000 chips. The bet was nearly two times what was in the pot already and enough to put Kim all in for his remaining 775,000.

Kim went deep into the tank facing the overbet, using all of his time extension chips to consider his options. After just over three minutes of consideration he slid his cards into the muck and Bonomo received a sizable pot without having to go to showdown.

Rezaei Mucks to Cornell

Niveau 9 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Tyler Cornell raised to 35,000 from the hijack and Daniel Rezaei was the only one to make the call from the button.

The flop came 363 for Cornell to check-call the 35,000 bet of Rezaei.

They both checked through the 2 on the turn and the J on the river. Cornell tabled the AQ for the ace-queen kicker with the pair of treys on the board, which was apparently enough to claim the pot as Rezaei mucked his hand.

Phil Ivey opened to 32,000 from under the gun and Bryn Kenney moved all in for his remaining 219,000 from the next seat.

Action folded back around to Ivey who asked for a count. Ivey thought for about 10 seconds before putting in the call to put Kenney at risk.

Bryn Kenney: KK
Phil Ivey: 66

Kenney was well ahead with the higher pocket pair. The board changed nothing when it ran out Q2A7J and Kenney received a full double up.

Niveau 9 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The board read A108K9 with just over 300,000 in the middle already.

Vlad Darie had checked from the middle position, but Christoph Vogelsang had pushed almost his whole stack forward with a bet of 234,000. He had left himself with a yellow 1,000-chip. Darie was sitting deep in the tank, going through his options for over two minutes before reluctantly making the fold.
