James Obst raised and Johannes Becker called out of the big blind to then check-call a bet on the Q♦8♠4♠ flop. The 8♥ turn was checked and Becker bet the J♦ river. Becker bet and Obst reluctantly called as the former announced king-high.

Obst had that beat with the A♦J♥9♠4♦ to win the pot.

In the meanwhile, James Chen had dropped to five and a half blinds but won some back off Luis Velador. Chen check-called the K♦Q♠7♥9♥ turn and the 10♣ river was checked. He exposed the A♥K♣K♠7♠ for a set of kings and that won the pot.

Luis Velador raised and James Obst defended the big blind, which led them to the J♣6♦3♣ flop. Both players checked to the 10♣ turn on which Obst bet, Velador raised and Obst called. The A♦ fell on the river and Obst bet to force a reluctant fold from Velador.

Daly Wins Four-Way Pot

In a battle of the blinds, James Chen bet the A♣7♠3♠ flop and James Obst came along which led them to the 6♣ on the turn. Obst raised and Chen let go.

Jason Daly then raised from under the gun to get called by Chen, Obst and Luis Velador. On a A♣6♦5♥ flop, only Velador check-called a bet by Daly and checked the A♦ turn. Daly fired another bet and took it down.

Ben Lamb has been active after the dinner break, picking up right where he left off prior to the scheduled 60-minute departure by winning back-to-back pots against Brad Ruben and Aaron Kupin.

In the first hand, Ruben raised from early position and Lamb called from the small blind, as did, Kupin in the big blind. Lamb lead right out against both players on a 8♥10♦Q♣ board and was called by Kupin, while Ruben folded.

Lamb continued betting on the 9♣ turn and Kupin Folded.

In the next hand, Lamb called from the small blind and Kupin raised from the big blind, which Lamb called. The dealer put out the 7♣10♣A♥ and Lamb bet, getting Kupin to fold.

James Obst lost a portion of his stack to James Chen when he announced a straight on the J♦10♥4♥4♦Q♥ river. Chen's K♥J♥3♥2♠ for the king-high flush secured the pot as he surpassed Obst on the leaderboard once again.

Soon after, Johannes Becker and Luis Velador checked down the 5♣5♥4♦J♣2♠ river. Becker announced queen-jack and exposed his Q♣J♥6♦2♣, as Velador double-checked his cards and tossed them in the muck.
