Caudill Scores Triple Up

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joshua Caudill was sitting on a short stack and he got all his chips on a flop that PokerNews walked up on during the opening minutes of Day 2

Three players, which included Caudill, a player on the button and a player in early position, were all in on a flop showing 10J4. The player in early position had Caudill and the player on the button covered, and the tabled hands showed:

Joshua Caudill: AQ
Opponent on button: AA
Opponent in early position: 99

The turn produced K, and Caudill hollered out in excitement as he hit the straight. The 3 on the river ensured he would triple up with the main pot, while the player on the button got the side pot.

As the pot was being pushed his way, Caudill explained the preflop action to PokerNews. He said the player in early position raised 12,000, and he three-bet all in for his remaining 53,000. Caudill said the player on the button four-bet his all in with a min-raise, and then the player in early position five-bet all in, which was called.

“Great way to start the day,” Caudill said with a smile as he stacked his chips.
