Acosta Stays Alive

Kirk Brown
Kirk Brown
Niveau 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Short-stacked Jason Acosto moved all in preflop for a little over 100,000 and was called by Andrew Brinkley to put him at risk.

Jason Acosta: K♥Q♠
Andrew Brinkley: J♠10♥

The turn of 3♣9♣6♠J♦ gave Brinkley the lead with his pair of jacks, and the river 10♣ improved him to two pair, but it also gave Acosta a straight to take down the pot for a double-up.

"Nice!" Brinkley congratulated his opponent, "I only wanted one pair, not two!"
