Kornuth and Kulev Clash Again; Kulev Takes Chip Lead

Chance Kornuth raised to 800,000 from late position with J♦9♦ and Kulev called from the big blind with 9♠3♠.

Things got interesting on the 10♣6♠4♥ flop when Kulev decided to check-raise a 650,000 chip continuation-bet from Kornuth to 1,700,000, with Kornuth opting to bow out, making Kulev the new chip leader.

Alex Kulev opened to 1,000,000 with J♦10♠ from the button and Chris Brewer defended his big blind with 8♠8♦.

With the best hand, Brewer checked the A♦Q♥7♣ flop and made the fold when Kulev continued for 1,300,000.

The following hand, Artur Martirosian raised to 900,000 with Q♥Q♣ second to act and got it through.

Nines Good for Kornuth

Alex Kulev opened to 800,000 from the hijack with Q♥10♠ and was called by Martin Kabrhel and Chance Kornuth, who held 3♥3♦ and 9♦9♣, respectively.

Action checked through on the A♦7♦2♥ flop, which brought in the 8♣ turn. The same action took place, and the 8♥ completed the board.

Kabrhel checked for a third time before Kornuth bet 500,000. Kulev and Kabrhel conceded the pot and Kornuth scooped in the chips.

David Peters moved all in preflop from late position for his remaining 2,775,000 and was called by Chance Kornuth in the small blind.

Chance Kornuth: A♥8♥

Peters was in the lead heading into the flop, but the equity would shift after the dealer rolled out a 3♠2♥4♥ board, giving both players straight outs to chop, but also giving Kornuth an ace-high flush draw.

The J♦ on the turn was good for Peters, but the 3♥ on the river would complete the flush for Kornuth and send high-stakes regular Peters to the payout desk.

Kabrhel Overbets Again

Martin Kabrhel opened to 1,000,000 from the cutoff. However, his cards were not picked up by the RFID scanner. Alex Kulev defended his big blind with Q♠8♠.

Kabrhel's cards were eventually revealed to be A♣7♠, and he continued for 1,100,000 on the 10♥8♦6♥ flop. Kulev called.

The 3♥ turn kept Kulev in front and he checked. Kabrehl made another overbet of 6,200,000 and Kulev quickly folded the best hand.

Smith Gets One Through; Kabrhel Continues to Frustrate Others

With K♥Q♦, Dan Smith opened to 3,300,000 from under the gun which left him with 2,900,000 behind. None of his tablemates called and he received a small boost before moving into the big blind.

The next hand, Martin Kabrhel opened to 1,000,000 from the cutoff with unscanned cards. Artur Martirosian, with A♥4♥, jammed from the small blind for 9,250,000 and got it through.

Kabrhel's cards were then shown as the J♠5♠.

Kabrhel left his seat and stood up which upset Alex Kulev. It had already been confirmed by the floor that players must remain in their seats when in a hand.

Kabrhel then opened to A♥9♣ from the hijack to 1,025,000. Kulev called from he big blind with A♠J♦.

Kabrhel then began voicing his displeasure about getting a talking to from the floor. The words "complete joke," were used.

Kulev check-called for 600,000 on the K♥Q♦2♣ flop which brought in the 8♦ turn which checked through to the 3♥ river.

Both players checked through to showdown and Kulev's superior ace took the pot.
