Ivey Holds Off Dehkharghani

Niveau 19

Omaha Hi-Lo

Ray Dehkharghani raised from under the gun and Phil Ivey was the lone caller from the big blind. The flop was 2AK.

Ivey check-called a bet from Dehkharghani and the turn was Q. Both players checked on the turn and then again on the Q river.

Ivey turned over AJ74 to take the pot with aces and queens and Dehkharghani took a second look before he tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Arieh Pained by Fold Against Obst

Niveau 19

Pot-Limit Omaha

James Obst limped the small blind and Josh Arieh raised the pot to 90,000 out of the big blind for his opponent to call.

On the J54 flop, Obst bet the pot and that sent Arieh into a world of pain as he groaned and leaned to the side.

Arieh even studied his cards very high, almost pointing them to Daniel Alaei while murmuring that he had all the back doors. Talal Shakerchi warned him not to expose his cards any further and Arieh then tank-folded.

Ray Dehkharghani
Ray Dehkharghani

Omaha Hi-Lo

Brian Rast opened on the button and Ray Dehkharghani defended out of the big blind. Dehkharghani checked on the flop of 8QA and Rast continued with a bet. Dehkharghani check-raised with just one big bet behind and Rast called.

Dehkharghani moved all in on the K turn and Rast called to put Jennifer Harman's pick for the Poker Hall of Fame at risk.

Ray Dehkharghani: Q1052
Brian Rast: Q543

Dehkharghani had the better kicker and the 8 river didn't change anything for Dehkharghani to double up.

Arieh and Obst Win Showdown Pots

Niveau 19

Limit Hold'em

Josh Arieh raised on the button and Daniel Alaei three-bet out of the small blind for Arieh to call. Alaei bet the K53 flop and J turn, earning a call from Arieh both times. He also bet the K river and then called a raise, but mucked upon being shown the AQ for the ace-high flush by Arieh.

In the last hand before the break, Talal Shakerchi raised and James Obst defended his big blind. Obst check-called the AQ5 flop and the 7 turn. They checked the 7 river and Obst won the pot with the Q4 for queens and sevens,
