Reichenstein Doubles Through Ypma

Niveau 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

John Ypma opened to 800 in middle position and Uri Reichenstein three-bet to 3,000 on his left. The action folded back to Ypma who four-bet to 7,000 and Reichenstein called.

The flop came 9♥7♥6♦ and Ypma continued with a bet of 4,000. Reichenstein ripped all in for 19,400 which put Ypma into the tank. After a couple of minutes, he finally called and the cards were tabled.

Ypma held two over cards to Reichenstein's pair but the J♣, Q♦ runout was not enough as Reichenstein held on to double up.

The flop came 7♠8♠5♣ as the big blind was quick to check. The under-the-gun position player led out for 1,100 and had two people call.

The turn was the 6♥ as the big blind led out for 2,000. The middle position player was quick to fold while Harry Sablotny raised to 5,200 from the cutoff. His opponent folded as Sablotny scooped the pot.

Buckner Gets One Through

A player from early position bet 700 and received calls from players in the hijack, button, Steve Buckner in the small blind and a player in the big blind.

The flop came 9♣3♠J♠ and action checked around to the player on the button who bet 1,400. Buckner raised to 3,100, forcing everyone out of the pot except the original raiser who made the call.

Action checked through on the 5♦ turn. When the 2♠ came on the river Buckner bet 5,300, sending his opponent deep into the tank.

After a little over a minute the player on the button folded and Bucker showed 10♦8♣ for a missed straight draw turned into a river bluff.

Jack Sinclair was heads-up in a three-bet pot with around 6,000 in the middle. The flop came A♠5♠3♥ and Sinclair continued with a bet of 1,000. His opponent check-raised to 4,500 and Sinclair called.

The turn was the 6♣ and both players checked to the 5♣ on the river. Two more checks and Sinclair flipped over Q♠Q♣ which was enough to beat his opponent's K♠10♠.

Konnikova Puts Kornuth In the Tank

The hijack opened to 800 and Chance Kornuth three-bet to 3,000 in the cutoff. Maria Konnikova called in the small blind and so did the hijack.

The trio went to see a 9♠7♠5♦ flop and it checked to Kornuth who continued for 2,000. Konnikova raised it to 6,000 and the hijack called. Kornuth thought about his move for a minute and put 17,000 in the middle. Konnikova announced all in, covering her two opponents.

The hijack quickly folded but Kornuth went deep into the tank, with a remaining stack worth 29,000, and eventually gave back his cards to the dealer.

A player in middle position opened to 700 and received a call from Chance Kornuth in the hijack before Maria Konnikova raised to 3,200 from the button. Both Kornuth and the player in middle position made the call.

The flop came J♠7♠5♦ and action checked to Konnikova who bet 2,000. The middle position player called before Kornuth check-raised to 7,500. Konnikova called and the middle position player folded.

The turn came the 9♥ and Kornuth bet 5,000. Konnikova made the fold and Kornuth showed K♥4♥ for a pure bluff.

Konnikova had bluffed Kornuth in the previous hand, making things even between the two players.
