Arends Passes the Test

Picking up the action on the flop with the board reading 8♣7♣3♦, Jans Arends checked from the hijack and the cutoff threw in a bet of 40,000 into a pot of around 65,000. Arends just called and the 10♥ landed on the turn.

Arends checked again and his opponent pushed out a bet of 130,000. Arends thought for a minute and then called as the A♥ completed the board.

Arends checked one more time and his opponent bet 125,000. Arends was left with a stack of 120,000 and dipped into the tank for a couple of minutes. He eventually called and his opponent showed K♦8♦ while Arends had that beat with J♣10♣.
